I know most everyone buys these as "Surf" boats now, but anyone still big into wakeboarding? I certainly am as most that know me know. Currently riding a few boards. A Ronix 1 Timebomb, Ronix RXT and the O'Brien SOB. All really nice boards. Just got the Timebomb, rode it today, the board is explosive. The RXT is so smooth and rode my best ever set on it. The SOB is my crossover to go board that I can ride boat or park. Let's keep wakeboarding alive!!

Agreed! I wakeboard much more than I surf.
Truth be told it’s been a decade but finally got a boat again so I have a slingshot recoil that I LOVED.
Been looking at Ronix lately. If anyone has boards to sell shoot me a message. 138-140 tops. [emoji869]

Awesome! Welcome back!! Since you loved your recoil, you should check out the new Slingshot Native. It is suppose to be a newer version of the recoil. Can't complain about any of my boards, my previous Hyperlite Riot Bio was also great. But I would like to take a rip on the Native and Solo, maybe the Windsor as well.

Will do! I’ve been wondering what they replaced it with!

I've been riding Slingshot for a while (Recoil, Response) but when they got rid of the Response I switched to a Liquid Force Timba which is similar to the Response. I rode a few of the Slingshot bindings over the years and now have Hyperlite Riots. I think I still like the Slingshot gear best though. The Ronix RXT setup looks good but so damn expensive. My next board will probably be a Native, or maybe a Riot.
For cable I ride a Hyperlite Codiak.
Wakeboarding is alive and well for me and my crew. In fact we probably only surf maybe once a year. I'd say it's about 60%-70% boat and the rest of the time is 2 point cables in the area.

We don't wakeboard as much as we used too since we very rarely go to the river any more with the kids and the water around the house is not ideal for boarding. It's kind of depressing, I would much rather wakeboard than surf but it is what it is I guess. I have a Ronix Code 21 that I picked up on clearance out my Ronix Mana broke. I'm one of those wakeboards who buys whats on sale and rides it until it breaks, which took awhile for the first one! I think I need new boots this summer though, if I remember correctly mine were starting to fall apart

I haven't wakeboarded in years but my FIL busted out his old Skurfer last year and it makes me want to get back on a wakeboard.
It also makes me remember the reason I don't wakeboard anymore lol. Falling at 22+ hurts a lot.

Is that what Brandon Judd is riding this year - 2021 One Timebomb?
Getting him back to Ktown this upcoming summer?

For me currently: big boy Murray 150, 2019 model. Still have and moved from a Ronix Bill 145, probably a 2013 or so model. Gave away a Ronix Mana 143. My original is liquid force groove 138, probably a 2009 or so. Keeping that one for the kids in the family as needed.
Anyone got a small girls board to part with? Want to try and get my 6, turning 7yo on a board this summer. Got her some Ronix girls bindings at Christmas.

I’m 5’11” and 200, err 210ish. And love it. Now to tell the truth not sure I notice much a difference between the Bill and the Murray, but I believe the Murray is a hair faster and looser, which I like. I’ve been riding the middle boot mount and believe I may try the narrowest setting for this season to change it up.

Knox, sorry to try and insert myself here but if this is a possible group lesson type deal, I’d definitely be down to paying in to help get to critical mass if needed. As long as I had sufficient prior notice I should be able to take off and get to Knoxville area even on a week day.

Yes sir! He normally needs 4 people in the class to get going. It's done over 2-3 days. Let me work with him on some dates, I'll see what his travel schedule is looking like. We'd either do it on Fort Loudon lake or Melton Hill.

I am still riding my hyperlite franchise from 2010. I love the continuous rocker line. I also have a Ronix happy hour from 2017 or 2018 and I like it because it is also continuous rocker. I have a 2014 Parks, the first year of camber, that I do not care for as much. I also rode a Ronix One about 5 years ago, but it didn't really fit my style of riding.

Plus we just got a brand new to us 17 Supra SA and haven’t been able to get her in the water quite yet!!!!
Definitely going to be making some wakeboard purchases in the near future.

I know the time is pretty short for me to actually show any progression before I get too old. 41 in a couple of weeks. I’d ride the wake board all day every day over that surfboard when the water is right. But, I’m literally the only one in my family who will try it out so it makes it so tough for anyone to push me when riding.

No way man! Been riding since I was 30, had a couple off years due to unrelated surgeries. Was in a rut doing the same stuff over and over. Started getting some coaching a couple years ago and have progressed a ton. I'll be 44 this year, landed my first invert 2 days before turning 43, I now have 2 in the bag and working on a third. You have time.

Good for you for still riding brother! I hope to be riding at 41! Almost 35 here and the thought of strapping into my board again hurts my body! [emoji38]
But I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. I grew up with water sports and have pretty much done all...except ramp jumping on skis. Wakeboarding has always been my absolute favorite.

The more bow weight you use and the less rear, the narrower the wake will be. I run 21.5 and 65', you could even run 21 at 60' or just play with it for your comfort level. If you have autowake dialed in, I try to keep my pitch at 7.5 or close to it, so I don't worry about the plate position, all about the pitch to maintain a clean wake. I don't have autowake turned on, but use the info. That is my basic setup and it still produces big enough wakes. For my better friends that ride longer and faster, I will add more rear the faster we go.

Not totally sure. Do you still have any follow ups? If not, maybe schedule an appointment and voice your concerns to get 1. You may also want to call your insurance to see if it might be covered. You could also track down the local rep for Ossur or Breg and ask them the best way to go about a brace.

A couple different friends keep their boats going and can winterize in 15-20 minutes.. as Larry said, I can pull my plugs and do the crossover hose in about 10 minutes, or run antifreeze through the sea strainer.

Alright perfect timing for convo then. This is our first boat with the strainer which is so amazing.
I’ve been itching to get out but afraid of overnight temps.
I know about the plugs but haven’t located them all just yet.
How many are there? Are these only the blue plugs?
And to be clear. If I take the boat out and say I need to “re winterize” as long as I drain the block in 100% good to go?
Learning to do this will get me out on the water much quicker every year [emoji38]

Look in your owner's manual online, you have 3 blue plugs and a crossover water hose connection. You're not draining your block as these engines ate close loop cooled, you're draining the raw water that cools the transmission and exhaust manifolds. You have 1 blue plug on the heat exchanger at the transom, remove surf locker wall to get to it and your impeller and oil filter. A plug on your v drive anode and another on a V drive hose to the left of the engine. You have to remove the upholstered panel over the transmission hatch and remove the whole cover assembly, 4 bolts, to access them. It sounds like a lot, but once you do it a couple times, it's a 10-15 minute job. You can also just pump 5 or 6 gallons of antifreeze in through your sea strainer at your transmission hatch until it runs out the exhaust.

That is exactly what I am looking for, a board I can enjoy and let others ride as well. Thanks.
You're most welcome, the District and Vault are fairly similar, I think one is continuous rocker and the other is mellow 3 stage. Can't remember right off which is which.

Has anyone checked out the new board prices?! I rode my buddies one a few years ago and liked it so I was looking at the new ONE Blackout but damn a $800 board is going to be tough to swallow.

They're getting expensive, but you're also looking at a top of the line board. The 1 Timebomb is a couple hundred less and the 1 ATR is even less than that. Just like the Hyperlite Riot, the Nova is a couple hundred more than the Bio.
