With the 7 year warranty from the upcoming boat show special, does the motor have to be serviced at a Moomba dealer to maintain the warranty? Our lake is far enough from the dealer to be pretty inconvenient to pull it out of the water and tow for an oil change etc. dealer said they do dockside service but it’s and extra $350 trip charge....

There is a MC dealer a 5 min boat ride from my dock that would be much easier to drop it off at instead.

My dealer only “required” the first 20 hour service to maintain warranty.

I did my own service after that.

Many people perform their own oil changes. The 20 hour service is a little different.

Keep a log and save receipts. No issues. Best for resale too.
