Credit where credit is due.... it is the a Battlemax copy.... completely light graphite with black chrome logo....

Our boats will look similar...I also went with the black chrome decal and same interior..honey with black accents.

For options- we didn’t go too crazy: Bimini, Gatorstep floor and deck in tan, cover, swing tongue, transom steps on trailer, and gator step on trailer.

I am not a tower speaker kind of guy and so we didn’t upgrade anything on the stereo..

Our build date is Dec, but won’t be picking the boat up until late April, early May.

Congrats! Which lake do you frequent? I'm in central Mn and spend a lot of time up in Gull lake chain.

BTW, was just talking to my brother in law who's looking at a '21 max and was mentioning how cool the full light graphite color looks.

A little Flow 3.0 action.
And a couple more speakers.
And registration numbers.
And some fake gatorstep on the trailer tongue so I have a smaller chance of dying while standing on the tongue when I do my solo/dry feet load outs

What a small world!! This boat will be on Gull Lake. My folks live on Gull Lake will just keep it there all summer on a lift. They are near the schaefers point area if you are familiar with the lake.

Thanks for the complements and looking forward to seeing it in person. The pictures of the dakota4ce's battlemax looks really cool... when i saw that I knew that was the color.

Short answer is no. The automated system takes the 7” screen upgrade on a 2020-up boat.

But could a guy make a momentary switch version? Easily.

Is it operating like OEM or is it activated independently? Or maybe a better question is were you able to order it from your Moomba dealer or SC as a 3.0 Upgrade or did you build this?

dakota4ce
11-03-2020, 03:22 PM
No it plugs in and operates automated. You can order all the parts if you have a 2021 with a 7 inch screen.

Maybe that helps clarify?

The boat already has the brain to do it. But again, only 2021 with big screen from what I have been told.

At retail I think they’re around 2500 bucks. That’s about the best answer I can give. More expensive than they are as an option on other boats.

I find it really odd that it has to be 2020 or newer. 2018 had a Mojo Pro with 3.0 and 2019 had a Craz Pro with 3.0.

I have a 2019 Mojo and would love to try out the 3.0 on it to see if it cleans up the lip. @Dakota - How did you hear about it only on 2020 and newer?

Chuds
11-05-2020, 02:14 PM
The reference to 2020 was the year that the 7" touch screen became available on all boats and the 7" screen is required for flow 3.0 so I would say that the older pro models with flow 3.0 would have had the first available 7" touch screens. So in reality it is less about the year but you need the 7" touch screen and the older pre 2020 boats would not have the correct screen unless they had flow 3.0 at which point you already have it so ....

jcredible
11-05-2020, 03:36 PM
That makes sense, I got the 7" touchscreen on my 2019 Mojo...so could add 3.0.

@Dakota; curious on if anything needs to be updated to the Software or if it just engages?

There is a wiring harness that plugs into the PDM on the starboard side of the boat. There’s only one empty port and it’s for 3.0. Premade wiring harness plugs right in. I’m out on the water and will post images in a little while but the difference is astounding.

I am a quite a large man. The length increase is remarkable, especially at this heavy ballast weight. No weight cheating required to make it clean as a whistle.

All this size is at 12.0 MPH.

I really did not expect it.

That looks glorious. For reference, how much ballast weight are you running? Did you get a chance to ride/transition it to goofy side? That flat/buttery smooth wave face is the end game for sure. Nice job.

Ballast is 5300 of water—wakemakers rears and 600 bow bag. Then 800 of lead—with 450 moved to bow if you have 2-3 good sized guys in the cockpit. Running 11.9-12.1 plates in very normal positions 60 regular and 70 goofy. Zero wakeplate.

The geometry of 3.0 works very well. Just enough yaw to clean the face without much if any weight shift needed.

I was very surprised at how the wave lengthened. Very.

We were hauling ass and it was still very tall and amazingly long.

Pretty damned cool.

From the before pics with flow 2, the wave crest is dirty. It’s very impressive how clean the Flow 3 face is. Night and Day!!

It may be the pics—-my flow 2 waves weren’t usually dirty much—I would say cleanliness is very similar. The real kicker in flow 3 is no shifting of weight is needed. It’s just like my Swell 3 was. Clean switching.

The really surprising part is the yaw lengthening the wave significantly. I didn’t expect that. It’s a better wave. Same boat, same ballast, even same people/boards.

Awesome result.

Thats awesome...now will see if my dealer is willing to play ball on getting me plates without trying to sell me a new boat...hahaha

You got any pics of the install you are willing to share...some thoughts:

1) Is it only the single entry point for wire running through the hull?

2) Pics of the wiring harness plugging into the PDM?

I just want to validate that I can do it on my 2019!

dakota4ce
11-05-2020, 11:22 PM
Depends on the PDMs? On my 2021 Max: There’s an open port on my PDM located in the front of the STBD locker. There is a hole already drilled thru the upper actuator bracket that is blocked off with a hex bolt. I opened it and drilled it out.

Then actuators and oem wire harness, and plates.

Then I would have no idea if the software is up to the task...Flow three was not an option on the 2019 Makai, so I’m not sure that having the big screen alone gets you all the other things you need. And I don’t know how you would verify that.

So with the second actuator, does it move only into one position regardless of where the tab is or can it move into many positions? So all the way up when stowed and then all the way down or down in various positions?
Thanks.

Various deployments depending on the measured displacement from Autowake system. Pretty slick.

That’s the new 2021+ logic from my understanding.

We wakeboarded yesterday as well. Holy cow does this thing throw a nice wake. 800 pounds of lead weight in boat 0% amplitude setting on auto wake 20 miles an hour. Just perfect

Good video on social media riding that Neptune. Not riding the Sixer anymore?

Hard for me to find love for multiple boards when there is only so much wave time.

I ride the Neptune most of the time. It suits me.

Obviously the video is to show the wave not the intermediate skill of a very average surfer [emoji1787][emoji1787].

Neptune is a fast fast board.
