Hello all, in the final stages of locking in a 2021 Mojo. Tow vehicle will be 2019 Ram. Any recommendations on tow hitch ball/mounts?

Do you tow any other trailers? If not, what @larry_arizona said works great. Depends on your tire size you have for the necessary rise/drop on your receiver size.

If you have other trailers, there are some nice adjustable ones by Curt, B&W, or Andersen. Assume you would need something with 3" or 6" rise/drop.

if you don't need an adjustable one as MJH calls out, home depot and fleet farm have a decent assortment at a good price. we're still on the same one I bought 10 years ago from HD.

and the thread derail into tow hitch weight ratings begins in 5..4..3..2.. :D :D

Thanks all. No other trailers to tow. Purchased the Ram last year in prep for this purchase. Appreciate the recommendations!

I think I’m correct in stating that the Ram has coil spring rear suspension, so expect some sag when hooking up. The Anderson adjustable Hitch is real accommodating to this sag. I bought one for the versatility, and the aluminum style has some bling factor.

I bought a Rhino Hitch two weeks ago because i needed something adjustable to get my boat in the garage. It is awesome! It is so easy to adjust while the trailer is still hooked up. If you need something adjustable I highly recommend it.

Thanks all. No other trailers to tow. Purchased the Ram last year in prep for this purchase. Appreciate the recommendations!Get a simple one like @Larry mentioned above. You can buy a single lock for the pin and you are all set.

Your dealer can help you get the correct measurements for the trailer tongue height to match your receiver height with a little sag as the trailer gets hooked up.

i have 7 different trailers i tow so 2 years ago i bought the anderson aluminum hitch so i can adjust since each trailer sits different on my tahoe. i would suggest this one if you want something you can use for years. The 2" ball will tow up to 8000 lbs and the 2-5/16 12,000...

if you are only pulling your boat then the adjustability isn't needed, but it always nice to have just in case.

I have the same. Love the adjustability. My driveway is on an incline so depending on how I park, the hitch height may vary, also, the shocks height sometimes changes a bit, occasionally I have to adjust the hitch accordingly. Well worth the extra money IMHO.

I got the BW tow and stow. Tried to go with the fixed mount but none of them had enough rise with the proper weight rating. The BW has plenty of rise or drop to accommodate a variety of different trailers and and the 2" ball is rated to 7500 lb and the 2 5/16 is 10,000 lbs. Best part is when you're not towing, the balls flip around under the truck so you don't bash you shins on them. https://www.amazon.com/Trailer-Hitches-TS10033B-3-5in-Hitch/dp/B000S0N2S4/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1KHJF7OJ2D80G&dchild=1&keywords=bw+tow+and+stow&qid=1601642465&sprefix=BW+tow+and+%2Caps%2C-1&sr=8-5

I bought the Weigh Safe 4 years ago and love it. It flips around when you are not towing so your hitch isnt sticking out.

12.5K on a 2" is great.

I assume you guys who leave the draw bars in full time have pin locks?

Up here in Detroit, those would get stolen lol.

They would get stolen here in TX as well, but yes pin locks are a must.

Yes, picked up the pin lock same day bought the hitch. Locks are cheap protection against theft for a 180$ hitch that is very easy to remove.

Pin lock used here as well. Its also just safer i feel than a snap ring keeping the pin in.

That Rhino hitch is fantastic. The one I had on my last Bronco was sold with it because my dumb behind forgot to take it off. I have a Reese Tactical Adjustable hitch now and it has proven very reliable and tough. 7,500lb GTW and I think has 13" of adjustment.
