Has anyone out there added Sirius XM to their audio system. Some of the lakes we go to don’t get good signal for streaming music, and building good playlists is too time consuming. We would like the option of XM on the boat. Any one made the conversion?

we had it in our first supra thru an add-on module. liked it and since we also, at the time, had it in both cars it was easy to "pause" the boat for the winter.
that was a few birthdays ago and have heard it's not as easy to suspend service now and some hefty "connect fees" but I don't know that personally.

If the media center is SAT ready, theres no conversion. Plug up the SAT receiver and mount the antenna. Activate the SID and done.

I figure it is, but I’m curious if it’s something I can do myself or the stealership needs to do it.

Connect and disco fees aren’t an issue. We flip xm radios so much we’re used to it. We had a portable I installed in the last boat that we could also use in the travel trailer.

Yes, that the SAT receiver. However, you need to confirm the media is SAT ready, or there is no plug to connect to.

That's the $500 question. Can it connect to the Vision Touch system. If not, I think the only option is to go with an FM tuner adapter and XM head unit. Not thrilled by that.

If its the Murphy ICE media center, I do not think it has the SAT connector.

Does your boat not have a usb and AUX input? If so, can use 3.5mm-3.5mm headphone jack to plug in portable unit to AUX

I’d like a fully integrated system, and not have a portable XM receiver with cabling everywhere. That’s what I had on my old boat, and I hated it. It just looked hokey.

Guess you better break out that old Ipod and get to downloading some music. Lol
