Read a warning from the coast guard about a new form of wakeboat surfing called “teak surfing”

Drag behind the boat holding onto the swim platform until the surf wave forms, then let go and body surf the wave.

Between being that close to the prop, the carbon monoxide buildup under the platform, and the fact that body surfing requires you to not where a life jacket..... this sounds like a bad idea.

teak surfing has been around for many many years. it was mentioned in my '06 supra manual and i'm sure it has been a "thing" back in the 50's/60's.

I'd be worried about the lack of a lifejacket more than the other 2 frankly. it's illegal here and cops enforce based on no jacket.
