I keep seeing these ads for the floating pads popping up on FB and the deal is very good, but it makes me wonder if it's TOO good especially since the website seems to change every time......anyone purchased one of these? If so, is it worth the $$$?

Thats pretty darn cheap

I got one similar for $200+ at sams club.

These things are pretty popular and my kids love them. They are a hassle to deal with tho haha

Foam ones appeared to be a pain in the azz for rolling up and storing.

I bought a HO Play Pad that inflates. Can rollup and store when finished with it.

I second that...huge pain in the arse, takes up too much room and constantly in the way. Go the route below, they fold up and go into storage and if your crew buys them as well you can zip them together and make a huge layout/king of the mountain wrestling pad for wives/kids.

old vid been passed around but I'd blame the rider more than the boat owner. lack of paying attention not to mention missing proper gear.

I think I'd be a little suspect of those advertised at $49. seems a little cheap for that much foam?

Yeah they are bulky af

The inflatable is a good idea if u keep a small electric pump on board.
Not sure it performs as well as the foam tho.

Holy sh!t! I have never seen that video. That was crazy.

That would be a killer price for one of those pads. We have one and will bring it out if we have a big crew and will be hanging out on the beach. The kids love it. Other than that it stays in storage.

As much as I agree the rider choked and made a mistake, it is the boat owner who was at fault for not safely securing his boat gear.

The lake I am on mostly, I see those things fall out of boats more than anything else.

Fun for everyone at the sandbar except the Dad that has to deal with it.

The guy on that crotch rocket had every opportunity to safely swerve around that pad but choose to try and ride over it...f'ing stupid!!

"legally" boat owner is at fault but ask any rider and most will say the guy on the bike should only blame himself. I ride a bike every day to work and can say $hit flies out of cars all the time and as a rider you have to be prepped.

yep, head on a swivel when on the bike looking for all kinds of weird $hit to happen - i've swerved around more crap than I can count (i.e. boxes, misc trash and even had to go around a ladder once that was spinning in the middle of the road)

Have the HO inflatable. Very thick-durable rubber and fits under my bow cushion. If you have ryobi products then purchase the hi flow pump for $25 and it will mostly fill it in 2 minutes. Then I firm it up to taste with the pump it comes with.

Had a foam one prior and returned it as I never liked having it on the boat due to all the space it took up and honestly no where near the quality of the inflatables. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200802/2fa76d1e5a41108900ad503e5bf95390.jpg

My 2 cents. If that inflatable thing pops with people on it they will possibly get wrapped up in it and sink. I wouldn't be able to relax with my kids on something like that.

I have had an HO Rad pad for several years, they are made out of the same material as inflatable paddle boards...they are extremely durable, and everyone loves them...our kids always wear life jackets when playing in the water whether on the pad or just in general

I don’t think I’d use an air pad..I’d be afraid of kids getting caught in it.

I know they r pricey, but this is my vote. Isn’t any more than a middle of the road surfboard really and it can roll up in a pretty small space (relative to its size)

We have one of these inflatable pads. They are awesome. Super durable—not like a tube or air mattress. You need to check them out. Where ever we go strangers come to check it out and ask where I bought it...

Guess that would be no fun if it popped while on it. What sold me....... The slalom shop in DFW has had the HO one on the ground in their gear shop for 3 summers now. It’s in a very high traffic area and looks pretty beat but has remain inflated with no patches.

When I saw it this summer while visiting I was impressed enough that I finally pulled the trigger.
