So I have decided the idea of carpet in a boat is about as smart as...well, I can't even come up with hyperbolic enough. Just stupid, IMO.
I know from reading here and looking around there are a plethora of options out there each with their fans.
What would be the concensus taking difficulty of install, quality, cost efficiency and effectiveness? I can do the work myself so how is it ordered? Are there templates for different boat models? As old as mine? Do you have to trace it out yourself?
Thanks y'all!

Hi I have a 2010 Moomba LSV and same here carpet is so dumb. I'm looking for options and so far, I only found 3 of them, vinyl to glue on, Sea Deck for similar application and Deckadence (on their video no template, you trace it yourself). Nothing seem very simple tho. Get back to me if you find more option.
Cheers!!

I bought bulk carpet from the supra and tige dealer in the past for sub boxes but both told me you can order online from the larger boat warehouses. search places that sell pontoon furniture and you will find carpet by the foot/yard in 2 different widths. likely cheaper than the dealer.
we redid a pontoon boat back in 2010 and stripped to the logs. new wood and then new carpet laid down with a glue you trowel on. was not hard but also didn't have a lot to cut around.

if it was me, I'd do it myself cutting out the main parts in a slightly larger piece then laying down and trimming to fit just like house carpet. should be easy but time consuming.

I know a few in the past have gone to gatorstep or something like that. the biggest challenge is needing a completely smooth floor and in some of the older boats before snap out carpet the flooring is not always finished to the point that you can lay a different floor on top of it. basically the subfloor is not to the state of finish in the newer boats. I know one guy spent more time finishing the floor than removal/install of the old/new product.

prod around wakeworld and you'll find a few boat remodel projects that have details.
