Just wanted to share a couple pics. It can’t be all about ballast, waves and surf. Every once in a while you need a little dirt, mud and rocks.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200723/ae25815d8526736128e23044e32035ab.jpg

looks like a great time in the mountains....

and nice to see you're wearing brain buckets :) last 2 companies I worked at that were located in "helmet optional" states, I was the helmet police....

Looks like a perfect area for that kind of fun. Where is it? :)

Nice!
Summer time is always a battle for me between going to the lake and riding my bikes.
Wish I wasn't such a wuss and enjoyed riding in the cold, but alas I'm a wuss so the bikes and the boat go up at about the same time lol

I loved riding during the winter. No one out and no dust. My hands are finally starting to heal after getting CT releases done. I’d like to start riding again, but I’m going to start off with mountain bikes, or a Suron electric bike first.

It's a smaller trail near Camp Ripley. It's not too long, maybe 13 miles, buts its closer to my house. If we want a greater challenge we'll drive an extra 30 mins further north to Miller Hills, near the city of Brainerd, Mn. Tons of fun.

Our cabin is in the Canadian Rockies (close to the US border) so we can't easily ride in the winter due to the 2+ feet of snow but the spring, summer and fall are spectacular.

Wow, that background with the mountains look amazing. Must be an unbelievable ride.

You got the right bike.

The picture is of my 16 year old son on our KTM 200XCW which is a great bike. My bike is a KTM 300XCW. Both bikes are great for the type of riding we do as they are light, have large gas tanks and have great gear ratios for mountain/woods riding.

Bikes are like boards. Everyone has their own opinions. You couldn’t get me on a 2-stroke. Hate the smell of them and I find the exhaust note annoying. I prefer guilt thumpers that can tractor climbs for mountain and forest riding. Desert, give me a quiet wide ratio thumper with a 6-speed and lots of fuel.

After my shoulder and hand injuries, I think my desert and single track days are done. I’d be content to put around on fire roads now.
