Build questions: walk thru screen, removal backseat...etc

Can someone explain what these actually are good for when building a mooomba boat?? Is it worth it?
Walk thru screen?
Removable back seat? Meaning... is the feature where it slides up to create another seat looking back?
Surf pipe- I know what it is... but can you add it on later if you decide you want it? Is it worth it.

Walk through screen: not worth it. Something else to store most of the time, ugly brackets in the walk through are permanent, and taking the bow filler cushion and standing it up under the windshield serves the same purpose.

Seat backs: the good part of that - behind the captains seat - is standard now. I don't know anyone who actually uses the center seat back.

Surf pipe: I don't have it and wish I did. It can absolutely be added later but its kind of a pain in the ass (or expensive install) to do after the fact.

so the walk thru screen is a screen that goes between the windshield and the bow? not really understanding what it is and its purpose....??

It stands vertically in the walk through, under the windshield. Its purpose is to close off the cockpit from wind/rain. Like i said we take the filler cushion and stand it vertically in the same space.

here in the desert a windscreen is a waste of monies. when we lived in green bay it got a lot of use on late fall days and coming back in the dark. keeps the cold breeze off the ladies. it was worth having but I never checked off a box. was always included. I would say your use or lack of will be related to your location and times you are out. don't ask us on here, ask the boss :) storing it is usually pretty easy. we stuffed it alongside the gunnels behind the passenger seat storage. always somewhere to stick it out of the way.

Was out on Mead this past weekend. Definitively no need to block a cool breeze with a windscreen. Driving in 119 temps give the feeling of someone holding a hair dryer on your face.

I ride a motorcycle to work every day with full gear. today going in at 11am it was like riding into a blast furnace. tonight going home at 9pm it'll still be 105-108ish :)

and if I was in minnesota, heater, shower and windscreen would be a no brainer....... in GB we used the wind dam somewhat regularly in sept/oct, heater in the evenings(keep a couple blankets on board and pull the heat tube under it for warmth) and shower could warm up wet lifejackets.

113 in Baker, CA at 10pm last night on the drive home. It’s was warm this weekend. Was planning to stay for today but the wind forecast looked bad and the RV air conditioners just could not keep up.

Dry heat is certainly better than humidity. It’s awesome how warm it is by 6am. Seriously considering a move to Boulder City.

boulder city is nice and not having to deal with the casino/gambling bs is a definite benefit(illegal in the city limits) but the ramp there can be a $hitshow on the weekends. we prefer callville bay to launch from and it's only 15 min from our front door. henderson on the eastern side of the 95 out off lake mead/racetrack/lake las vegas area have close proximity to the ramps AND still close to retail/restaurants without the drive. we love calico ridge although the HOA is a pain in the arse. no boats/rv's on the lots unless in garages but sub has rv parking for about 200bux a year.

I use the windscreen mainly for towing when I don’t have the cover on. On past boats I’ve had cushions fly out with no screen due to the wind tunnel that area creates. Maybe that’s not an issue on the newer boats, but having the screen gives me peace of mind while towing.

We also use the windscreen for towing. It allows placement of boards behind the screen so we don't have to tie things down. I think it is really handy.

I added the screen this season. In northern New England, it gets lots of use. I would say it’s 100% worth the money. My GF says it’s the most important feature of the boat.

Removable seat back, it sounds like is only for the center seat now. That I wouldn’t spend the money on. I’ve used mine once and everyone in the boat agreed that it just makes the boat cumbersome. I find it much more enjoyable to leave the rear center seat in place.

If I were ordering a new boat I would order a surf pipe. We’ve done just fine without one, but wish adding one now wasn’t so difficult.

here are the options i will most likely be ordering:

high altitude prop. We boat at over 6K ft so we have to have that.
GPS cruise control.
Flow 3 and Autowake
Heater- we boat early and late in the season and it is a must for us.
adjustable seat
depth finder
duel battery
surf pipe
transom step-i've heard it is a nice option for getting in and out of boat on the back.

a few other small one but these are the main ones for us. I made a wind screen for our current boat. Then made a seat back cushion to fit the opening and that does the same thing and adds another place to sit. The removable seat back is one i go back and forth on but most people seem to not use it so i will probably pass on it.
