I'm replacing my MS-RA205 head unit with the newer 210 and I was wondering if the plug in the back is a direct swap? Any info would be appreciated, TIA

Why swap? Interested in selling the old?

Search up the Fusion 205. Many have the same issue where they just crap out and freeze which is why I'm upgrading. The 210 is the newer version. I have an msra 55 without a box.... Brand new. Sells for $179. I'll sell for 150 obo

I did the swap tonight To the 210 as my ra205 was stuck on the splash screen. The wiring harness is different so not really plug and play. Pretty quick swap though. Nice that there are 2 RCA zones vs only one on the 205. The sad thing is that the 210 does not appear to be compatible with my remote the nrx200i so pretty frustrating that I need to upgrade that now too just because the stereo failed.

Thanks Brian S. I was hoping it was a quick swap. It's sad how shitty those 205s are. Mine did the same, froze on the fusion screen

It's weird that the remote didn't work, because I thought both of those head units were supposed to support the same style remotes

Just an update. We do not need to buy a new remote we need to just power up the NMEA network. Part numbers are 010-11079-00 and 010-11078-00.

thanks for this, I'm about to do the same exact switch but i'm nervous about difficulty level. were any of the existing cords compatible? how was the rewiring of the harness for speakers?

thanks!

I’ve got the same issue. 227 hrs on the boat(2017) and now looking at $2k(CDN) to upgrade the stereo. Not impressed to say the least.
