Hi Moomba Family. New to this forum and second season owning my boat. Put it in the water and the muffler has a split as does the inlet hose. Struggling to find a replacement new or used muffler with a 3.5" Inlet and a 3" outlet and a 45 degree on the inlet. Anyone direct me in the right direction to source one or advice on a suitable muffler to swop out solution. So appreciated. Thanks.
Phil

I pulled them out entirely. I use a piece of SS tubing from the guys at FAE. Since they are water cooled they never even get uncomfortable to touch. I like the sound too but I run the full FAE system.

If you have ever worked with fiberglass they can be repaired.

I initially fixed a splitting muffler at the seams, via fibreglass etc, but finally replaced. Bought at ski dim. Problem was that number and model I got from them was wrong. Apparently a batch or two were given different mufflers than what specs said.
After receiving my muffler, now mufflers I had to deal with what you said, wrong size outlets, and being far away and needing the part at that moment my solution was going to a muffler shop and getting a short piece of stainless 3” pipe then stretching the other end out to 3 1/2” to an exact fit then using fern o plumbing fittings to mate them all together. Works great..
Sadly boat not available at the moment to get pics to show what I did.

Thanks so much, yeah i am def in the same boat. I have fibreglassed for now but long term was thinking i need to replace both mufflers and hoses eventually and how do i get around that. I think your solution maybe the way to go. Thanks so much.
