Hi all,

Hope everyone is safe and enjoying some social distancing on the water. Question for everyone on covers. Our 2016 Craz cover has an opening that goes around the base of the tower on each side. We have a ton of trouble with water getting through this opening. I've seen several covers with "socks", for lack of a better term, that go up the tower a couple feet. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase these socks as I've had no luck in my searches. I'm worried that it's attached to the cover and ours simply doesn't have that built into cover. Thanks for the guidance as always friends!

Might have to have them custom made

Is there an option for a tower down full cover like Supra offers? If the tower folds, what is the advantage of leaving the tower up and covering the boat?

No, as the Moomba towers do not lock in the lowered position and would bounce around like crazy.

Thanks for clarifying Stazi, makes sense now.

i have never seen these but would be interested myself. The moomba covers are very hard to get tight around the base of the tower. Almost like they are quite a bit small. Even my dealer couldn't get it tight without gaps. This should be addressed by SC

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. Looks like it's time to break out the sewing kit for some homemade socks.

We have had covers that had these as part of the design. As in all one piece.

I’ve been frustrated with covers that have a gap around the tower or Bimini—leaves and rain—more than you would expect.

On my Mondo I ended up putting towels around the tower then put the cover over them. It wasn't a perfect seal, but it definitely helped.

I was hoping not to with the newly designed cover, but it looks like I'll be doing the same with my Kaiyen.

Had the same problem last week with my boat in my driveway instead in storage. I pulled the cover up as high as it would go and then used big hand clamps to hold the cover above the opening. Not a great design but a cheap solution when left outside.
