Good for her!!! My son just started late last season at age 9 as well. He has about 5 rides under his belt so far, but can't wait to get in the water this year. I know how you feel about being proud.

My son, Andrew, decided that he needed to start trying to catch air on about his 3rd run, which didn't work out so well for him. Be sure to warn your daughter that when landing she should keep the front of the board "above" the water line. Andrew is still recovering from his first "face plant" :D

Congrats,
I have a 10 y/o daughter - this will be her 4th season wakeboarding - it is cool to get the young ones into the sport!

My boy is 16 months now and will of course will be a few more months by the time we really get rolling this summer. After looking at Overtons.com I'm hoping he may be able to do a SKi Skimmer. We'll see.

My 13 year old daughter taught my 10 year old to wakeboard last season. It was nice to see them work together. The younger one is pretty timid, however, she will cruise in and out of the wake, but wouldn't dream of getting any air. She likes to get behind the boat when we are crossing the lake and just hang out back there, for like 20 minutes.

This is a pic of the first time on her board.
