I just surfed behind my 19 helix for the first time , wave needs more push I was struggling to keep momentum . Thinking I need more ballast or open to other suggestions. I’m not a big dude, 5’10’/ 170lbs

How much ballast do you have?

What size bags and where?

I have the integrated bow sack option and the two stock ones in the rear but no extra or after market added yet.

How big are your rear stock bags? My guess is that they’re tiny.

replace rears with 1100's. if you normally run with a large crew that should help. if crew is smaller, add another 500lbs in lead midship.

Not sure of the size of the rears to be honest , they are the ones that came stock. Not sure if I should be filling front bags 100%? And do I want to fill both rears 100% or more weight on surf side ?

Ok so the front integrated bag is 400, the center tank is 400 and the rears are 650 each. I’m thinking I want to upgrade the rears.

Yeah those tears are what I had stock too. They are tiny.

You need 1100’s minimum in the back on both sides.

Plan on buying new connectors for the bags too as it’s almost impossible trying to remove the ones in there as they are glued in. Also suggest you glue the new ones in too.

Wakemakers has an upgrade kit For $699 that is designed to work with the boats ballast hookup , the bags are 1040lbs each. Would like to avoid having to manually fill bags obviously.

Those will work.
