But, whenever I look at boats or sell mine, I think you should just go by the base price: $20, 830-23,780.

Anyways, even going by prices with everything, your price is still almost $2000 too high. Frankly I would take those $2,000 and add 5,000 more to get myself a brand new LSV (37,000). But, you know, I guess you just can't put a price on brand new 2006 decals and new cup holders. Personally, I believe it is worth $21,000. Now how again do you justify $30,000?

That’s how I can justify it!

I have no idea who you are or what you do for a living but if you ever become a boat dealer or salesperson for Moomba/Supra or any other boat dealer and only go by “base price” for sales and want to sell me a boat… let me know! I guess options aren’t worth anything in your book and you really don’t know what a 2000 – 2002 Mobius V is. It is not an LSV nor is it comparable to an LSV in length, weight, or wake size. You should really know your boats and full information before you start to criticize on someone else’s boats.

So how is that LS mid-engine for you?

I'm not criticising your boat...I am criticising your price. Your boat looks pertty nice but you only posted one picture so that could be very decieving. Your boat is not like an 2007 LSV and yet one would need just $5,000 more to buy a boat 7 years newer. Hey, I don't have an LS. Maybe you should take your own advice and get the "full information" before you start criticising someone else. I will say it again, newer graphics and brand new cup holders are priceless.

I checked the NADA and the price was between $26K and $30K. Were I live boats and motorhomes are always listed above high book and they sell too. I checked my 1998 Mobius and the value dropped $1,000 in five years amazing. In fact, the price I bought the boat in Portland is still $1,000 lower than the existing low retail price. The market for these boats is hot so if your looking for a boat you may be standing in line.

Go for the boat you think is the best value for you. Any price within the NADA listing I would consider reasonable. As a buyer iI sometimes think the price is high but at the same time as a seller I sometimes think the price is low. Locations can determine prices as the local economy varies and the time of the year can dictate prices. This time of year people start looking for boats and they are able to get the boat out to test drive. Just get out and check the market as buying a boat is fun and sometimes frustrating. Enjoy it as with me it doesn't happen very often.

Liveforwater - I understand completely what you are saying - My O7 LSV with loaded options out the door wasnt but 39.5 - so I agree, I would not buy a 7 year old boat for only 9.5 K less - I will say I have seen some 04's and 05's sell for around 29 k to 33k....

The market for these things drives the prices. Plus with summer right around the corner, you can expect to pay a little more, too, I think.

The best time to be shopping for a boat or motorcycle is n the late fall or early winter, not right before the season starts.

All i am saying liveforwater, is go buy the new boat and leave this guy alone. As a used car sells man told me once you cant compare used because the condition is always different on each one. (Makes sense).

Superman and Zabooda thank you for your input and support! Trying to be the fair and reasonable guy that I am, it is not easy determining a listing price, selling price, or buying price for a used boat but you need to list something and be able to justify it one way or another.

Liveforwater, that does look like a very nice LSV and that is a great boat for certain people, however an 04 or 05 LSV is different from an 06 or 07 LSV in length, weight, and wake size just like the 2000-2002 Mobius V is different from the LSV’s, Outback V and the XLV. Like I mentioned before, you should know your boats before you go comparing them to one another. The Mobius V is the only full 22’ wakeboarding boat that Moomba has made and it is longer, heavier, and deeper than an LSV. You do have a good point as to why not buy a newer boat for a few thousand dollars more but there is a reason why manufactures make different model boats and that is because certain people want different qualities, different looks, and different performance characteristics in a boat. It all comes down to what you want, what you can find, and what you can afford.

sorry to chime in on this one, but I have always had problems with nada.

does your boat come standard from the factory with a tower. If so, it should not be added when trying to determine a value. However if you had a outback, outback v that you have to pay extra to have a tower then it should.

The thing about the tower arguement is that even though it comes from the factory with the tower, the dealer orders them that way and you still pay for the tower as an option when buying the boat. So the only fair way to value a boat is to value the base model boat plus all options.

Speaking of the towers, I don't think the Radacage tower was out yet in 2000. Which means he had to replace his old one with a newer one.
