 The glove box does not latch. the lid has a latch mechanism but there isn't anything for it to latch to. Is the lid supposed to latch when closed or just lay there?

no, i think there is no latch. I noticed the same thing last fall after we bought our mondo. i think there is a little pull tab to lift open. we have not been on any rough water to know if there is concern for the door bouncing open, so far, 28 hours, and i am not aware of an issue.

^^Yup there is no mechanical latch or I should say no plate or anything for pin on the latch to be able to lock into. It’s just for easily be able to pull up the door. Mine does not open on its own in heavy chop or anything so it’s not an issue for us. Wouldn’t mind if it were a locking latch and side door access though for added security.

Same as on my Max. See post #265 https://forum.moomba.com/showthread.php?31106-I-demoed-a-Max-today&p=340408#post340408

It seems like the glove box latch is something they screw with every single year. You would think that would be a solved problem, but every year they find a new way to change it!

I'm embarrassed to say it, but I don't even remember what my '18 has. I want to say it's a magnet. Whatever it is, it's never caused a problem!

Just be glad they don't use the stupid spring thing that holds a glove box open. My last boat was a Yamaha and I hated that stupid spring to collapse the glove box door. So annoying and it always slammed on your forearm. Pretty sad when I saw a higher end boat I want to say older G23 use the same cheap spring lol.
