Good luck to you. Pools are a bigger pain in the ass than boats.

Couldn’t agree more, have an inground I had installed 20 years ago, it may get used 5 times a year, but I still have to upkeep it.

PITA!!!

My buddy spent $70k putting in a pool, then following year wife made them sell the house and they didn’t make any money on it. Following year she divorced him and took half his shit. Double whammy.

we live in one of the cities that pools are almost a requirement like a dishwasher. first house had one. current doesn't and we had a hard time finding a house that didn't have one here once you start spending north of 400k. don't miss it at all.
most here spend a grip of coin putting one in, use the snot out of it for a year or 2 then they become a power and water drain.
cost us $200/mnth from april to october and $50/mnth nov-mar.

to each their own :)

Bought a new house with a pool already in place. I’ll be back just waiting out one summer. [emoji16]

I retrofitted mine to salt water after a year. Best decision I ever made. It's like boats. Use your friends, dont buy your own lol. It's like having another kid lol
