it'll be a few weeks for us. weather here is pretty crappy. rain/wind and only in the 60's.
I know a family that are making the 9hr drive next weekend from Boise to Vegas to play on Mead. they bought a brand new boat and want some water time.
I'm hoping the weather changes before then but 7 day is not favorable.

Never hurts to get a jump start on that break in period.....1000rpm, 1500 rpm,2000rpm rinse and repeat. Not the funnest part of a new boat lol.

Yea the break in SUCKED but hopefully they get their hours in.

It will be a month or so for us as water temps are still high 50's and I don't own a wet suit nor like the cold lol. Also waiting to see what this virus thing ends up doing in a few weeks so who knows lol. I just want to get on the water ugh!

Well good thing is boating can be somewhat isolated and therefore not a CV spreading activity.

We’ve been out each month, February was great. We are now in AZ for an extended time... but this was in January.

Didn’t get any pics of her without the rope... water was pretty cold so she didn’t want to drop it :)

We made it out for st pats on the 17th. Don’t know the water temp (actually don’t know how to read the temp) put 21hrs on the new mondo last fall before storage and forgot most everything this year. But the water was nice, and I’m still enjoying the hard water.

We were hoping to be out this week but hasn't worked out. Been raining almost all week off and on. Lake is now almost 13ft high and now the temps are dropping. Suppose to have a light freeze tonight. Guess we will have to wait one or two more weeks

Nice to a boat that allows the six foot spacing. I had to tell my friend that he couldn't go riding with me in the 4 wheeler because we don't have the spacing.

OK so I'll take the 13ft high the lake was last week, we are now at 21ft. Sure hope this isn't a repeat of last year. I have one other lake that's a little longer drive that we are going to go to as soon as we get a nice day, its only 2ft high so that's no big deal. Currently as long as the ramp is not in a campground they are still open.

Couldn’t resist and made a quick run last night. So first time out so no where near dialed in but still fun. A lot to learn on this one but we’ll get it figured out soon enough. Water was really muddy with all the rain. Already liking the heater.

Already out 12 hours on this week. Lake has so few boats due to Covid. Only wakeboat out today...Monday had 10 of us out at grapevine lake.

Don’t know why I didn’t buy wetsuits for the kids last year, worked great. Cheap amazon 2mm. Water temp 66, perfect for a spring suit for adults. Need to download the wakeboard gopro footage of the kiddos, finally cutting hard enough to get 1-2 feet of air....but I still only pull them at 14mph (wuss dad).

Newest edition loving it as well. Any suggestions for infants? All I’ve seen with google are tower swings. Likely he will just be held and as much as possible in a life jacket (makes breastfeeding difficult [emoji38]).

Been out all but one day since last Friday but I've only ridden once while trying to teach my oldest to wakeboard. Water is still a little cold for these bones but the kids love it. They start to raise the water level here in a week or so and that typically means another 2-3 weeks before favorable water temps for me.

I would suggest a hat that can tie around his head and has flaps that cover the sides of his head and his neck. Worked great for my son and we bought another one for my daughter (10 months old). Other than that, infants are a real PITA due to not being able to have sunscreen for a year ect. My wife was a big trooper last year holding a towel over our daughter literally all the time.

Aww man. So envious of you guys. Awesome pics. Cant wait to get back in the water. Yeah, keeping those infants out of the sun is tough. That delicate skin sunburns so easy. We built a "tent" using large towels over the passenger side front seat, covering the windshield. That meant an adult constantly holding baby to keep from sliding. Big hat to cover those ears that get burned easily. Its not easy and that first year you'll just have to suck it up. Space them out very 2-3 years so u get at least one good year of boating in between.:D

Little dude was out from under the bimini for all of 5 minutes....thus why I grabbed a shot real quick. All good points though, need to find one of those infant hats. I know I have a couple somewhere...because believe it or not, that is my 4th (and final) child!....but five years of rust since the last infant is really showing. Have all the confidence of a seasoned parent despite forgetting all the nuances and no desire to read up like with the first one haha.

No, we aren't...70 degree air with 50 water and the right gear was great Thursday. At 130 rule, we'd have missed out on a solid day.

Water temp last weekend here in AZ is 65. Two of the local lakes were closed so the closest two lake to Phoenix were packed with people. I had to get out so it’s the first surf of the year for us. Probably could have survived without the wetsuit but it was nice to have.

Are those dry suits or wet suits you have for your kids? What was the water temp? We are getting some really nice days but the water is still in the 50s. Feel like we are missing some good opportunities.

2mm wet suits from amazon. Cost was cheap, $30-40 each. Water was 65 at the time....really fine for shorties, but my girls are "sensitive". Hard part was finding reasonably priced neoprene booties for kids when surfing. Ultimately they were not needed, so glad I didn't fork over for those.

We're headed out in a bit as well with some new kid wet suits off amazon. Seemed to be pretty good for the 1 year they will wear them before they out grow them. It took some digging but I found booties for our 6yr and 10yr old think they were still around $18 per set which is high compared to a $35 wetsuit. But if that gets them in the water we went with it.

Could you send me the link to the boots you found for the kiddos? I’ve been unsuccessful thus far. I got my kids the O’Neil 4/3 wetsuits and they are awesome. A bit pricey but super flexible and work awesome. We’re able to trade them in the next year for money off for a bigger size when they outgrow them. I originally tried the 3/2’s but they were still really cold. Our peak water temp is 60-64ish but usually averages mid 50’s. It’s beautiful but it ain’t warm.

man oh man. you guys are so lucky to be on the water. everything on the nevada side is shut down and if we go to the arizona side we are supposed to self-quarantine for 2 weeks upon return. gov here is getting a little pissed at those not following the guidelines so better to spend the days working on the yard.

golf courses were ordered closed today. car dealership selling side were all shut down today. no more mobile haircuts. real estate can only be by appt and house must be vacant to tour. walmart/others were all directed they had to cut in half the number of people allowed in the store at any given time(1 person for every 120 sqft of retail space) so they all have a single entrance and exit and count going in.
but construction workers are still all over raider stadium. makes no sense......

It was a very much needed day out on the water. Our ramps are all still open (well now that the lake levels are back down from flooding) just most camp grounds are closed. Most everything else in the state is shut down. What stores are open are counting heads only letting a few in at a time. Restaurants have all changed over to curb side or drive thru. They are even letting restaurants and liquor stores deliver alcohol to your house now. Long as we can still get on the water I will be ok, they take that away I will go crazy. We were back into the high 30s this morning though, suppose to go for about a week or so with cold temps with a possible short freeze Monday. Hopefully last cold snap.
