Looking to upgrade our 2007 LSV and really like the Craz. There seem to be some good deals out there on 2016, 2017 & 2018 years. What's the big difference in model years. I believe the 2019 & newer has the G6 ballast, & they system that allows you to switch surf sides, but can you get an older model to surf as well as a new model with the right weight/ballast? Thanks

AutoWake started on the 2017s.

I have a Surf Edition with Flow 2.0, AutoWake.....Enzos in the rear, 500lbs of lead and it surfs great. G3 ballast doesn't fill as fast but that's time for another beer while you wait.

The Craz started in '16 and all of the hulls are the same. No changes. The surf tabs evolved a bit but nothing drastic. 16 and 17 had options for how much factory ballast (the upgraded ballast in those models is called "surf edition"). From 18 up they all come with 3000lbs ballast standard. They still need more in my opinion.

The bigger differences are:
17 - autowake introduced (computer controls ballast levels to maintain a specific pitch and roll ideal for the watersport of your choice)

18 - significant autowake enhancement, g6 ballast optional (6 pumps fill and drain much faster enabling surf side changes more quickly and really helps autowake to work well by speeding its adjustment). I also think this was the first year for gatorstep flooring options.

19 - better vinyl (in my opinion), new dash, larger screen. More options standard.

2019s also get a full wetsounds stereo. That and the new dash/vinyl made decision for us - we went 2019 [emoji1360]

I think it's great size boat - Does not feel small and it's not too big. For example, when I jumped it a SE or Makai my first thought was too big for my crew.

Not many owners saying negative things once you get the correct weight to surf

Try the app, it's verified, won't install spyware and is really free.

Hit the reply button and underneath your response is a huge "document + " logo titled Photos, Files.

It's easy peasy.

There is a 4 photo limit per post.

The cool thing about the app itself is that it works with most other large forums...like Ford Truck Enthusiasts [emoji16]

So you get a central spot to access whatever forums you are a part of.....

Looks great!

Go 20% ceramic tint on your glass and get your bimini arms powder coated red....it'd really change the attitude [emoji41]

If you run a small crew you should look into upgrading your bags and add some lead to really wake her up.

Sent from my Note9 using TapatalkThinking to add more weight in the back. Have 2X 1100lbs and missing some will small crew.

In reflection between upgrading to 1400 or adding 500lbs of lead.

Suggestions?

Envoyé de mon SM-G965W en utilisant TapatalkI have a Craz with the upgraded prop and I generally run 4,600lbs with a small crew....4-5 peeps.

Enzo rears (1450s)x 2 + belly tank (700lbs) + IBS (500lbs) + 500 lbs of lead

I stash my lead under the bow cushion and you can't even see it.

AutoWake by design would empty the Enzos to lower the pitch so the extra bow weight helps prevent that from happening.

In the event that there are only 3 of us, I also have a 1000lb Sumo Sac that fits perfect in the spot over the Vdrive hump when the rear seat is slid forward.

If you run upgraded rear bags you will definitely want to reinforce the engine panels... DIY or Wakemakers has a kit.

Sent from my Note9 using TapatalkRear sac have been upgrade directly by the dealer before taking delivery.

Planning to add 5 or 600 lbs of lead this spring and work with the 400lbs sac i have in tbe garage.

Your comments are greatly appreciated. Tinting the windshield and powder coating the bimini arms would definitly add to the look. Tks

red on the bimini would def. add a pop of color to it.

we just tore all of our tint off and would not recommend it. hard to drive especially dusk/night with tint on the windshield.
