Getting close to purchasing soon, and in between a 2018 SA and 2018 SL. Both close in hours (between 70-80) and well equipped. The SA has 4 tower speakers compared to SL with 2. Both about same price, think the SL is about $3k more. I’m leaning SA, but something keeps pulling me back to the SL. I’ve never owned a Supra so looking for real world advice.

Can’t lose with either one. If you need on boat storage get the SL.

SA has a bigger bow area, SL bigger cabin area.

Both throw similar surf wakes and start to really shine with 500# lead, I would say the SA is probably a tad better for wakeboarding.

I owned a 2017 SA400 and now a 2018 SL550. Storage due to all sub floor ballast and in-floor cooler is a huge advantage for the SL. Cabin area on the SL feels much bigger than the SA, but the bow is smaller due to SA being more of a true pickle fork where the SL is more of a traditional bow. You also have a little larger gas tank on the SL 72 gallons compared to 65 for the SA. With the SL you are also getting a newer hull design and not buying the older model that has been redesigned now that the SA has been redone.

Assuming they have the same motors and same options, what is your primary use?

How big is your avg crew?

How long are you looking to keep the boat?

Pretty much both have same options, and both have the 440 engine. Primary use will be mostly surfing, lounging in a cove, maybe a little wakeboarding and tubing.

Most of the time it's just my wife, 5 year old son and I. We will bring other families with us from time to time so probably 7 to 8 when we have guest.

Not sure, but probably 5 or 6 years. Maybe longer.
