Yup, I live in Tigard and have a 2006 LSV. I just moved here actually, about two months ago, from Denver. We put our boat in a couple weekends ago for the first time down at Willamette Park. It's a little different boating on a river vs a lake, but I'm sure we'll get used to it.

Where are you?

So where's a good place to go boating in the Portland area? We typically wakeboard, surf, and tube (kids love the tubing thing) when we go out.

I hear that the stretch of the Willamette from Newberg to Wilsonville is nice. Are there any hidden obstacles or shallow areas that I need to be aware of?

Any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Al

Newberg to Wilsonville is great in the Willamette. Check out the latest issue of Wakeboarding Magazine and there is a write up about it. It gets very busy on the weekends down there. The best place to dump in is in Newberg. Have fun.

Do they allow skiing & wakeboarding on Green Peter Reservoir? Anybody been there? What's it like?

Thanks,

Al

Where do people ski and ride in Bend,OR? We go to Sunriver at least once a year, and would like to find a place to find a pull.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave- Lake Billy Chinook (north of Bend) is a great place; big lake, nice coves, hot in the summer - there's also houseboat rentals. Prineville Res. is another lake east of Bend. It's nice; not as busy or as many services as Billy Chinook. I'm guessing both lakes are about the same distance from Sun River. You can go to BoatEscape.com for more details.

Hope this helps!
