Transom remote issue

I am on my third radio transom remote on my 2018 Craz. It is mounted much lower than my neighbors 2017 Mojo, which I suspect is the issue. Anyone else experiencing this problem? It's been covered under warranty but electronics are covered only for two years, so I'm up early next year so the dealer is installing a new one while it's being winterized. No way to move it up since the unit is fitted through the hull so it gets a lot of water hitting it, especially surfing.

Mine 17 craz has once and the dealer was really surprised. According to them it's a rare issue.
