Come wakeboard with me!

Watch at the end when I see a piece of driftwood floating in the water and I ollie over it! Woot!

Sweet vid! Your wife does a great job pulling you in your vids.It does. I've always thought the docking lights and bow eye looked like eyes/nose, so I added the teeth. LoL.

Yeah, she's great. At the end of a set she'll put the platform right in my lap so I don't have to swim at all. She's on it.

Yea y'all seem like you have it down good. I subbed to your channel and noticed when you take off on surfing that you press down on your back foot and seem to pop right up as you point the board toward the boat. I'm going to have to try that as it looks like much smoother starts.

Yes! The two pictures of the boys in the blue Axis are from the Butte. The other pictures are from Navajo Lake and Vallecito Lake.

We call that "pre flipping" the board. She puts it in gear and as soon as the slack is taken out, I can flip my board and be ready to go--she just has to 'hit it' before I lose that tension. Most the time surfing, we just toss out the rope and pivot around the rider on the surf side (easier with a boat like mine with way less freeboard. If I was on your max, she couldn't see me back there!) I've gotten to the point where she just watches for me to flip the board and then takes off. I don't even say a word.

We also have some riders that choose to get their board in position and have me drag them ever so slightly before I give it gas. For them being able to position their board with tension works a lot better for them, rather than mastering the timing of the flip with the pull.

Unfortunately I couldn't land a 360 to save my life that night. I really wanted to get first person vid of one. I was running about 50% success rate the last few times I've been out. :-/

I think I've mastered my new winterization routine.

1.) Quick wipe down
2.) Shop vac carpet
3.) Make sure cooler is empty
4.) Turn off battery switch, plug in maintainer
5.) Plug in recirc fan
6.) Cover boat, look around as if you're already done
7.) Uncover boat and retrieve beer left in cupholder
8.) Repeat step 6

Total time ~ 20 min

This used to be more of a half day process to remove everything, store everything, drain everything, etc. I've just gotten lazy with finally having a garage to call home the last couple years.

This was record year too for hours - only 21.6... :???: Sad but true. I know that's like one weekend for some of you guys.

looks like you are not a brand snob when it comes to toys. I see yamaha, ktm and kawi and looks like there's a few others..

very nice garage however the ocd in me would have painted and trimmed out the stairs :)

Yeah yeah yeah. Maybe if/when I get around to patching up and repainting the garage some day.

With all those toys I wouldn’t make that a priority either! Where’s the sleds?

Excerpts of what might be Zandar's last ride of the season. Oct 5 2019 air temp around 56°F, water about 64°F. He complained just a bit about cold hands, but was really pretty comfortable with the wetsuit. He just wasn't too happy when he saw the video and all his 180's seem to come from one side. I told him to just have fun and not worry about any technical stuff, but maybe we can get one more ride before pulling the boat next week and he can do more from both sides.

On a side note...soooo jelly of having a garage for the boat.

Thanks, he really works hard. This video really doesn't show all that he is capable of, but he had a fun time for the (most likely) last ride of the season. Next year, at 10 years , we're setting our goals on a tantrum. Will definitely keep posting here.

Fun day on the water Saturday. Had a friend out to pilot my mavic air.

Had a great wakeboard set with lots of solid grabs, but the last jump I was too "wheelied" on the board and came down hard on the landing and hyperflexed my bad right knee. Felt some crackle and it got a little hot. Wakeboarding ended after that. They last picture was just before that crash.

I was still feeling good enough to surf and foil... I couldn't waste the opportunity for a drone photo session. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191007/a9dee874bcbc1c1c28a55626d922df2e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191007/a084400c191186043da6537e3517d941.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191007/48eba28b1ba1e9524ef629027ae77907.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191007/d5d18fa84027096a606094a74569a4bd.jpg

Winter project =
1. Upgrade to WM 1270 bags
2. Install FAE Surfpipe
3. Install some tower lights

Looking forward to seeing how it performs after some wave tuning!

Like LED Disco Ball Trayson style lights or actual spot lights?

Hah, spot lights :) I had 2 point forward on my mondo and 2 pointing backwards.

I think I might just do 2 facing back this time around.

Interesting - I used to have 2 forward and 2 aft and took them down. They might have been helpful for looping around to pluck a rider out of the water in the dark but for navigation they did more harm than good. We just stick a few glow sticks in the surfer's vest at night now.

Happy Halloween everyone! With a cold front coming in with lots of rain I figured I’d go ahead and end the season with the boat. Insurance layup started tomorrow anyways. Going to have it wrapped and stored along with winterize. Bittersweet 42nd birthday today but it’s been an awesome season with the Max and can’t wait for spring!! Freaking poured on me as soon as I got everything out of the boat and I got completely soaked while hooking it up to the truck lol. Sucks the boat got filthy on the drive over but glad to get it in line for the long sleep.

Got to see the new steel blue flake in person. I like this as a better color than the Brittany blue. Not as nice as ultra blue of course lol. At certain angles it almost looked a little iridescent like a deep blue violet and other angles more blue. Cool color IMO.
