Speed control issue

I have a brand new makai, zero off speed control. When surfing and occasionally boarding the rpms drop just after takeoff almost sinking the surfer only to pick back up to normal. The dealer “fixed” it but it continues. I assume I am not using a paddle wheel and actually the gps for speed control but I’m not certain. Any ideas on the cause?

Does it only do this when you begin pulling a rider after immediately starting the engine? I’ve found that mine occasionally needs 10-15 seconds after starting the engine to acquire the satellite signal for zero off to kick in.
