I have an 05 out back and was wondering where I should put my 2 amps for my sub and tower speakers and how do I put them in there without messing up the boat and getting them wet. Any help would be awesome

I'm wondering the same thing, I think I'm going to get some flat bar aluminum and make an amp rack on the walkway side of the storage compartment under the radio. unless there's a better place. Where are the amps on a factory install system in an LS?

Check out the pics below. I installed my amps just inside the storage area. If I had aluminum stock, I would have built my rack out of that. Let me know if you need any help or have any questions.

Did you just attach the amp rack behind the front seat back? or did you use an L-bracket on the floor? Also what head unit are you using and does it retain the factory wired remote?

I did not attach anything to the floor. The amps are heavy enough to hold themselves down and since the boat tends to "flex" I did not want to try to bolt the upper part of the boat to the lower part with my amp rack acting as the connector.

Looks awesome, definately some ideas in those pics I will be copying. Did you see the question I asked about the headunit? Where did you get the plastic sleeve for the wires through the tower mounting plates? Did you keep the single battery or have you added another one? What type of wood did you use for the amp rack and is it just painted or is that some type of watersealer?

The plastic sleeve that goes through the tower bracket was left over from an 8-gauge amp wiring kit that I did not use on one of my car installs. It wass supposed to be used to go throught the fire wall in the car, so I just drilled a hole in the boat and inserted it into the plate.

Sorry, I missed the radio question. I am still running the factory Kenwood radio and only one battery. I carry one of those marine jumper packs with us just in case!

The amp rack is just a wood board that I painted with about 5 coats of black paint. Then I coated the bottom of it with that rubber stuff you use to make plier handles or rubber coat random items. This was supposed to be tempoarary until I could find plexiglass or some other type of composite material to avoid water damage. I put it in there two years ago and have not had trouble since.
