Boat will be outside freezing for the first time ever (2015 raptor engine). I have done the regular winterization stuff but when I tested the coolant it’s only good to -10. So I need to top up it up or change. Dealer if 4 hours away. Just looking for some tips. Drain some out top up and run engine pump it through? Any tips would be appreciated. Where to drain from etc. Manual indicates they can be a challenge to get air out if full drain done?

Thanks for your help.

You should get your mix of Propylene glycol and water close to 50/50. Be sure not to mix in ethylene glycol by mistake.

This will protect to -29f

Thanks for the response. I have ordered a new tester as apparently they are different for the propylene vs ethylene. Hopefully I will be good once I use the proper gauge.

That link gives detailed instructions and pictures on how to change the coolant on a Raptor. Looks easy enough.

Interesting that the procedure is pull the main coolant hose and dump it into the hull.

Yeah I know. I was hoping to suction it out.

I'll just drain it in the hull and use a bucket at the center drain hole.
