how big are you and what's your skill level, also what board are you riding now? The boards on my demo list for this year are the CWB Faction, Ronix Frontier, and the Byerly Legacy

Prolly lots of different opinions on boards, so here's mine...
.
Liquid Force Evolution 138 w/ Element Bindings. Mine is an '05 model, a good intermediate board and has held up well. The bindings are still in good shape also. I think I can easily get another season out of them. Lists for around $300.00.
.
Hope this helps

ditto on what pickle said. really depends on your skill level. i currently ride two different boards. i have a hyperlite 3ds and a cwb absolute 141. both are very nice boards but i must say i prefer the cwb because it is so much lighter.

bindings are very important. i have the cwb zeus hinge tech. they are simply awesome...

5'11 180LBS I would say I am intermediate. I cant get some good air but havn't boarded behind a very good boat so going inverted hasnt been easy. Now that we just bought an 07 LSV I plan on improving my "sweet skills" HA. Last board I bought I ripped out of the bindings within the first hour "it wasnt from falling"

CWB Hinge - the boot of choice on my boat.

ditto on the CWB hinges, I rock the Factions, hands down the best binding out there for the money

Just because pickle drills holes in his boat, does not mean I'm a moron because he agrees with me.

Hey Gt,

The best thing you can do is find a board shop that will let you demo the boards you are interested in. So many times people pick thier boards for the graphics, the company, the pro rider that rides it.

Do yourself a favour and try a few boards before you make a decision

Cheers
