I have an 06' Outback and was wondering what would be the best/biggest ballast bag I could fit in the bow walkway? Any info would be greatly appreciated, I need to get one soon.

I have one of the 440# launchpad bags.
It fits up there pretty well.

I use the bag that came under the rear seat in the boat, I think it's 275, I also have 2 150lb straight line sacs under the front seats

A 'phat buddy sac' that weighs #300 is what I'm gonna try this year. I've got a pair of those #440's and the #275 factory one. I have been putting one of the #440's up front too, but i'd like to back that off about a hundred or so

Besides, the direction pointed depends on whether you're being pushed or being pulled, doesn't it?

I bought a #1200 sofa for the rear. Probably will not fill it up the entire way. That would be illegal (over weight limit with people on board)
will leave the #440 up front.

It breaks the 40/60 rule though.

Yeah, 60 back /40 front is a good rule of thumb. But the way the boat gets weighted makes the bow ride high and is perfect for spectator seating. That's where the girls wanna sit while we ride. And is also why I want to back off about a hunnerd or so. With them up there plus about #300 in ballast might get me the balance I want.
