I'm planning a big boating weekend and have 15 people that want to come out. I've never had more than 7 on the boat before, and while I know it's rated for 17 I think that would be miserably uncomfortable. What's the most people that can fit comfortably? Most of them are fairly small girls.

17 would be crowded

Had 13 on the SA last weekend including a couple small children, it wasn't bad at all... just store all the bags and don't let everyone bring their own cooler, those take up a lot of space. And make sure you have enough CGA jackets on board.

man, my current whip is 23'9 and I couldn't even imagine 14 let alone 17. that's a small army. heck, 1 rear locker just to store lifejackets.

all I can see is:

I get anxious above 12 or 13 on my 23' XLV.

Had 13 on my Max once. The bow was crowded with 6 people in it IIRC and had room to spare for a few more bodies in the cockpit if needed. I was surprised it didn’t feel as crowded as I thought it might and the boat handled it fine.

When a boat is rated for 17, it really means there is 17 seating positions.

I have had 8 on an SA but they were in the main cabin area, nobody in the bow area, it was busy.

I guess it really depends on how much sacrifice of comfort you can tolerate.

But if you say had 16 strippers and a sack of blow, I could tolerate a lot.

In this case I’d say 17 girls plus a driver would be fine.

I agree. As long as we're keeping these kind of ratios, it'll all good. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190711/a8c3bbae5f2014aa98390525a27d40f5.jpg

If I'm ever in WA and break down on the water, I want you to rescue me with a tow :D

The guy in the background in the water is priceless. You know he’s thinking “let’s get this s*^t started”!

We always have a full boat, just depends on how much you like your friends, the single XL Yeti type cooler is the way to go though!
