Wife, daughter and I rented a condo at Sunset Pointe near Stillwaters during that weekend. Anyone going to be there during the same time?

Got the call from my dealer and my boat is ready for the ballast relay module warranty replacement. Just in time for our vacation tomorrow. Anyone going to be on the lake I wouldn't mind meeting up as I could use some help dialing in my surf wave.

We just booked a house for our summer vacation. Going to stay on the water for 5 days! Anyone going to be down on Martin during end of July? We got a killer big water views and not far from some isolated coves for surfing!

The owners have a boat lift they said I could use. Is this advisable for our style of boats? Looks like they have a direct drive or vdrive themselves but I thought bunks had to be spaced correctly for your exact hull? I don't know jack about lifts. I don't want to screw up my boat either lol. He said their boat was a 23' so mine should fit within the slip area, just not sure about the lift. It looks like a scissor style lift and can't tell if bunks are vertical or angled where it rests on the hull. They said it's rated for 6,000 lbs so should be fine as far as weight goes.

;) :D

Anyone got any input in the lift? Should I use it? What are things I need to look for to make sure my boat can be lifted safely?

Wow. That place looks amazing

Price was not too bad either. Looks like it has some great views and some remote sloughs nearby for surfing.

if it was my lake rental for a week and weather looked good, I would dock it, not use the lift.
be my luck I'd break it and there goes the deposit.

Good point, I didn't think of it that way. My only concern with docking is the house is near s busy section of the lake so I'm sure it will get a little rough waves at times. Oh well I'll just double up on fenders and balls. Going to do a recon drive by of the place tomorrow on the lake.

Anyone going to be down July 31st thru August 5th? We booked an Airbnb in the Jackson Gap area of the lake during those dates. Can’t wait to hit the lake during the week when everyone is at work!!

I am hoping to visit lake Martin one day soon. One of my best friends and his wife (who is my lady's sister - so soon to be my in-laws) relocated to B'ham a few years back. I've tried to line up an early season (since their season starts sooner than mine) trip down with the boat, but every year something comes up...
