2003 outback ls. It ran wonderful last week. And most all day the next time we were out. It just started sputtering and couple back fires and then nothing. I have had to cool fuel pump off in times past but that didn’t help this time. I did notice the wire at top of fuel filter wasnt connected so I plugged it back in and still nothing. It will turn over but no fire. I towed it back to the ramp. Next I checked fuse in by rear of motor and one fuse was melted. I replaced and I cranked up and ran 5 minutes, shut off and back to where we were. I can hear the pump priming the fuel rail. . The fuel isn’t old or anything. I have put more in it thinking gauge could be off but nothing.
