Started that last week. I just opened an imgur account today to get this resolved.
copy/past links are pretty handy there.

Are you trying to use a PC or some type of Mobile device with the Tapatalk App?

Both PC and Mobile. No Tapatalk tho. Ive been a moderator, and admin on several large forums. Its been awhile tho, but I still I cant believe I cant figure it out lol. Ive resized jpegs below 50kb, and tried to upload them thru "manage attachments". Ive tried to insert URLs into [img]. Nothing works lol

imgur worked, but just so everyone knows, once you upload your image, you have to click on the 3 dots to right of "copy link". Then click get share links. Then copy and paste the BBCode into your post on here.

I gave up on trying to load images via the website and just use Tapatalk on my iPhone and iPad... you can upload single images with a free account, but if you want to upload multiple images you'll have to sign up for a Pro account...

Sorry guys - Mods can't do much to help besides show you the options. The Admins have the keys to the palace for vBulletin updates, setting permissions, limitations, etc.
Photobucket used to be the go-to until they screwed everyone with their new policies on 3rd party posting.
I've also tried IMGUR - its ok at best.

I just use the Tapatalk App on my phone or tablet.
At work I can use the Web URL directly, but do not post pics b/c you need to load from a 3rd party photo hosting site - pain in he azz for the extra step.

I couldn't get one to work from a third party, however if you're doing that just reference it with the IMG -- IMG in [] brackets.
Uploading from your local machine works fine.

Testing . . . Working. Looks like it uploads a little pic, but allows you to click to preview a larger one.

Appears to load thumbnail size but does allow for clicking for larger version. Any chance we can get it to allow for thumbnail or full size image? Thanks for having the admins look into this and update the software!

Unfortunately it automagically downsizes photos - up to 85% based on my calculations. Mine went from 5184x3456 pixels original to 867x578 pixels when attached and viewed at full size.
So don't post anything that is already small unless you want to zoom like crazy to see it all fuzzed out. Garbage in = garbage out.

How did you attach the image inline like that? Yours aren't getting shrunk down like a thumbnail. I prefer to do whatever you did so my images won't be too small.

He posted it as an attachment, instead of a pic, like I just did below. Press the Advanced button by quick reply, and then youll see that option.

I tried the paper clip thing which I guess is what you mean and not working. I have tried to go into “manage attachments” and tried to select the image and then select “insert inline” but then it deselects the image I’m trying to upload

In manage attachments, after you select the pic, there should be an upload button. Press that and make sure it uploads before you close it. Look at my screenshots.

In your example here snapshot52 was a very small photo to begin with so it will show up very small here... Awesome pic though.
