Last season I was only able to go out 3 times in my boat because of my truck being stolen. I did a oil change before the first outing. So I'm wondering if i should change it after it sitting in storage since October?
I put less than 15 hours on it too.

You are probably fine, but I would change it each year. Oil changes are cheap.

Most of the materials from Indmar probably say every 50 hours, not by months.

Oil does not go bad in 1 year from sitting there, yes it breaks down with starts/stops. Oil would be likely be diluted by water vapor (combustion by-product ) - same as low mile cars.

On the older hot rods I've owned, I was more concerned about the 'cold-starts' and the internal damage done by sitting for 1-2 years. Thus we spray a little oil in each cylinder before starting the first time.

I would change it, I'm a believer in doing it every year regardless of how little it gets used. It's cheap insurance and easy to do.

The subject of oil is always a giant black hole of opinions.

Instead of giving my opinion, I would rather give you a constructive option.

Blackstone oil analysis.

so like 6 qts of 15-40 and a filter is like 30$ just change it. Just remember its a truck engine that is always under extreme load and in the worst wet conditions. I look at it this way, is your summer not worth a 30$ oil change?

The 3000 mile oil change is one of the biggest man scams in history.

With a quality full syn and good filtration , 25k Miles is very doable.

Ask my 248k mile truck on less than 10 oil changes.

Data is available if you want, otherwise just throw money at it.
