Deer Park ITC Fire

So Sunday a chemical plant in Deer Park on the Houston ship channel had a storage tank catch fire. We could see the plume of smoke from
I-45 driving home from the lake house Sunday afternoon. By Monday morning it had spread to 7 other tanks and is expected to burn for another two days or so. One of the local news stations published an article about all the memes coming out about the fire. It is a horrible situation but at least people still have a sense of humor lol.

Looked nasty when I flew into Hobby Airport on Monday AM.

From the office building by NRG Stadium, it looked like a tornado in the distance.

Feel bad for the people living around that area and breathing that.

I run a Lear outta sugarland. This was yesterday morning headed to Ohio. We could see the flames from 20k up.

Looks like they got the fire out at around 0300 this morning. Sunday to Wednesday. It’s a shame, all that gasoline could have been put to much better use in my boat...
