Optima Bluetops

Hello All,

I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on a couple of new batteries and keep coming back to the Optima Bluetops.

My question is what size(s) should go with? Originally I planned to 2 x D27M but now I’m thinking 1 x D34M for starting and 1 x D31M for my stereo.

What would/are you running Bluetop wise and why?

For a house bank, the D31 has about the lowest Ah to $$$ ratio of any AGM. If you are set on an optima, its the greatest AH in a single battery in their lineup. About 25% less Ah then other group-29/31 AGMs. A D34M is sufficient for a cranking bank.

I guess I’d settled on optima having read a lot of praise for them

Given my budget is $600 and I am looking for two dual purpose agm batteries what else should I be looking at?

The interstate 31M-AGM would deliver 100AH and is the same footprint as the optima 31. The 34M-AGM has the same 800CCA as the 34 optima. Retail is under your budget.
