I saw a 2019 at a boat show and the extra tab the surf 3.0 has to add more push.

1. Does it make that much of a difference.

2. If I have a 2018 Moomba Craz with Surf 2.0 can I upgrade to 3.0?

Thanks for your time. Looking forward to the summer

Clearly the parts and software exist, the real challenge is will SC sell it to you?

It would be great if SC had an online parts catalog of available parts to research upgrades.

Still could force you to buy through dealers.

But the ability to research online parts lists is a win win for SC and customers.

Surf tab upgrades, replacement parts, decal kits,to adding more audio (speakers, amps, brackets) etc.... is all a win for SC.

“Add more push”—-not likely.

The extra articulation is going to help clean the wave face more efficiently. Probably not going to need any list angle, as the tab is designed to make the boat crab.

Furthermore, they’re the same tabs with a cut/hinge in them. It would be a piece of cake to make this happen. Buy some actuators and go to town.

I have spoken to a couple people who own them. The effect is not as dramatic as one might imagine, so it is debatable whether not it would be worth it.

The meat and potatoes of the wave will be largely unchanged.

Ill talk with the dealer ship and see what they have to say. Has anyone surfed it yet, is there a noticeable difference in push from 2.0 - 3.0?

Brandon DeLago has a Pro. I believe he told me he doesn’t think the 3.0 is a big difference maker.

I do not see any “hydrodynamic” reason it could produce more push. Whatever push is [emoji1787].

It will cause a slight crabbing action which cleans the wave face.
