So there is a blue piece that goes over the alternator that has threaded holes just to hold those blue plugs. They spots they go into are even labeled.

The life jacket hooks in the locker is a great idea. Going to have to do that. I typically hang things out to dry on the tower or around the boat but sometimes the boat has to be put away wet so not having a stack of wet/smelly life jackets is a win. Are thos just the stick on style hooks from Home Depot?

Yeah, they look like 3M Command hooks. I hung a 2x4 in my storage unit and ran a row of screw-in bike hooks so I'm not hanging wet jackets in the boat at the end of the day.

We ran a ratchet strap from one side of our storage to the other and put a bunch of clothes hangers on it so hang up the jackets. It worked out perfect having the strap directly over the rear lockers so it’s easy to reach

The hooks are command strip hooks. I did not want anything to permanently damage the gel coat. They stick on very well but the actual plastic hook pops up and off easily and will sometimes fall into the abyss that is the rear locker of the Max. Not really a big problem but a bit of a pain.

How is the clarity of the water where you boat? These seem like a reasonably priced option over going with the standard rgb sea blaze lights, just wondering if they put out enough light to be seen in our water in south east TX.

The polishing of the plates looks great! Did you remove them to do it or do it in place?? So you know if it effects the wake/wave?

I removed the surf tabs and worked on the center plate with it still attached to the hinge. The plates looked pretty bad after a year. I should have taken a before pic.
I don’t believe there will be any performance changes. The water is still being forced down when the tab is down. I believe the Supra plates have a more polished surface.
I sanded the plates using wet/dry sand paper and WD40 as a lubricant, then polished.

Still blows me away how much storage you have in that monster! Also surprised to see the transom tie downs attach to the platform bracket - that seems lit a lot of added stress vs straight up to the hull?
Lights look great though. Hope to see them in person this year.

that was my first thought as well. I wouldn't want those straps on the swim platform either.

A few more holes drilled to finish the year.
Added quick release fender pins. I mounted a little higher than the cleat for two reasons. It helps clear the cleat and allowed me to still use the backing material glassed onto the backside of the deck for the cleat. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181225/f57b859c8aa6fb4959fdabdec42f1874.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181225/353364788186ad5ae715ec2378123d7f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181225/e84fb60043eae3e748243371573e23c2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181225/b23f7c42c55701bf320c9adbc3864845.jpg

The guys over on the Nautique forum do not seem to like the integrated GoPro mount. Several say that the adhesive GoPro mounts work best. I have not personally used one.

And now I have another mod to do this winter haha. I had no idea these existed. Where did you put the front pin? Reason I ask is it seems like the front cleat on the max is too far forward for hanging a bumper due to the curvature of the bow, curious if you mounted it more aft.

I'd be curious to see the results of the new Hero7 with the built in image stabilization...I've heard good things on the Hero 7 and it had a great writeup on Gizmodo. Just hard to swing the price if you already have a 5 or 6.
I have a Hero 3+ Black Edition, I think was the first to film 4K. Great camera but low light filming is hit or miss. The spring would be perfect for me to upgrade and get a 7.

Installed right behind the front cleat to not interfere with a line going forward. I plan to order 2 more to mount midship on the topside gunnel between the tower and windshield. The Max needs some midship protection when docked. You can order the receiver without the pins as well if you just use fenders on one side of the boat at a time.

Check out them BABZ or EXILE fenders, for a length of time you will get fender rash with them standard ones. Just a though, fender rash looks like crap on flake gel.
