Do you have any regrets buying the direct drive? We cant make up our mind V or direct
One year later, some days I'd like the v-drive, but I'm happy with my payments. I wasn't in a position to pay another $5000. For me, being an hour + from dealer, the ability to repair most anything is a plus. Troy at ATL marine walked me through checking the shaft and everything. Easy enough to get to as well.
The separated seating can be frustrating at times. As soon as I get 2 kneeboards up on the racks, floor space will clear up fairly well.
Wife and I test drove without the kids. If we had had the kids, she would have wanted to wait a bit until the $5000 was available.

Beautiful boat!
I've noticed the Moomba direct drives are wider than other boats which helps compensate for the space issue.
Congrats - the boat is awesome!

I've seen that boat somewhere before.... my garage. I chose the same color for my 05 and it still looks new. I like the dark grey carpet, mine is lite. I like the chrome tower better, sorry.

No regrets whatsoever. In the beginning I was a little hesitant about the direct drive because of space. Once I saw it in person though I realized space was not even an issue. We like to slalom too so the direct drive was a better fit for us. My best advice is to see and test drive both before you make up your mind. Hope this helps!
