Is there a bimini that attaches to the rear of the tower on the 18/19 models to cover more area than just the front? I have seen one in the Classifieds on a Supra but do they make one for the Moomba?

Following this we just purchased a new 18 mojo and we have always had a Bryant deck boat the Bimini was huge on them defiantly going to miss the shade.

Yeah, I would absolutely love something like this for the Max. That was definitely one of the items my wife didn't like was how little the bimini top is compared to the size of the boat. When we were looking at the Axis T23, it had the same problem. May look at having one of our local upholstery shops make an extension for us.

I found a bimini extension for the Axis boats when looking for Moomba extensions, but it's pretty expensive!

Does anyone know if this will work on the 2019 Makai as it has the same tower off of 2017 Supras if I am not mistaken?

I know this is an old thread but has anybody found a solution and bigger bimini top? Will the supra rear extension work on the moomba A3 tower?

Saw this on a Paragon last weekend at the Barrett Jackson show.

I asked the salesman about the bimini extension and he said that one was factory Nautique but he gets so many requests he is going to make some.
Looks fairly simple to custom make yourself.

Ive seen a few boats (Tige and Malibu) now like the Nautique above with a cove shade.
I did find this as a possible option but haven't looked into it very much yet. Was thinking instead of drilling the hull just using suction cups. Obviously with a cove style shade you cant really drive with it up vs a true bimini extension. Might be worth looking into

see this boat for sale here locally while it's up. I have seen several extensions on boats here in the desert like this. the place that made my custom cover said it would be 350ish to make something like what this boat has on it with most of the cost being in the poles.

Mastercraft has one like this for 2020. It looks well made.
The key to making yourself would be the poles and the mounts into the boat.

The poles looked like they were carbon fiber but could be fiberglass with a wrap on it. The sockets looked like fishing pole holders. The netting look like the stuff used on playgrounds. I would think you can drive at least 30mph with these since air can go through the netting and produce less drag than a normal bimini. It felt pretty sturdy.

350 isn’t bad. I’d pay that for the extra shade. The shade is worth a lot here in AZ.
It looks like it would interfere with the rope?? Especially a surf rope.

yes it would but most I know that surf regularly can get up using the surf rope off the pylon. teaching noobs would be the only challenge.

Good find. $150? Not sure I could build one for that price.
Fits into rod-holders, on the those upper-end wake boats, are the holders in the boat that big?

I’m not sure. The poles look to be about a 1.5” diameter.
