I have a 2003 Outback LS with the 310 hp carburated motor.Last time out the temp gauge only got up to 120 degrees. It usually runs about 170 to 180.I believe the thermostat is probally stuck open.Does anyone know if it takes a standard chevy thermostat and if so what temp rating?

It’s a 160° thermostat. Same thing happened to my buddies XLV and we replaced it. Don’t waste your time on trying to find a thermostat from a car parts store. BTDT and wasted a bunch of time and money on that - for whatever reason, the aftermarket car ones don’t work right. Just get the right one from skidim.com and call it a day.
