Adding Bluetooth to Clarion

This isn't Moomba related but I thought I would see if anyone had any experience with this. I've got a 2014 Formula 350 CBR with the Clarion CMD8 head unit. I want to add a bluetooth adapter to the unit. I tried taking the screws from the front and pulling the unit out in order to gain access to the aux rca inputs but the unit would not come all the way out. It came out about 5". It felt like the wiring was holding it from coming all the way out. I didn't want to yank anything loose so I didn't force the issue. Is there an easy way to gain access to the back of the unit without removing it?

You're right not to force it out. I cant help you with that particular boat, sorry. I come across a number of boats that you have to access the back of the head, prior to removing it. Look for an unconventional route to the back of it. Seat backs or interior salon panels with hidden screws or x-mass tree clips, things like that. In other words, the access to the back may not be obvious at first.
