Learned the raptor has 16 plugs!

You can buy direct from inboard online, they sell direct from indmar. Most non-dealer places so far don't have any info or parts for the raptor.

Thespark plugs seem a little bit excessive in price

They sure are, I didn't get a chance to pull a current one to see if whats in it to do a cross-reference or find other sellers. I have a misfire and need the boat running asap..

That is $13.47 per plug. Doesn’t really sound that bad. It just hurts to by 16 at a time! Spark plugs for my 4 wheeler are $24 ea!

I'm sure they can be found cheaper, at least this place ships quisckly and is close to me. Skidim and bakes don't have much yet if you need an indmar part. I'll post up what they are when I get them.

I used those guys for all of my maintenance parts on my old Supra. I always found them to be helpful and reasonable on price. However, don’t use their website, it doesn’t like smartphones. Just call them up and they are super helpful. At least they were for me.

The website is horrible and it doesn't have any of the new part numbers. They're really nice to deal with, the guy asked me to send him this sheet for the next guy ordering raptor parts. :)

$13 plugs tells me they are iridium and if iridium they should last the equivalent to 100k miles.

What is the cross reference to an NGK or Denso??

Doesnt matter much, but Wakemakers has the impeller and gasket kit for under $40...

I used the NGK-IX when I did mine. K&N filter cleaner and charged. Changed transmission and v-drive fluids, and of course the oil and impeller at around 325 or so hours. The only thing I did not do was the fuel filter on the outside of the engine. When you take your engine panels out, most everything is easily accessible for the 16 plugs, did have to remove a couple things from the starboard side, but still only took my and 1.5 hours start to finish.

Where are the other 8 plugs on a raptor 400? Must be on the top of head with a coil pack? Funny I have never seen them.

Also, something sounds a miss here. Dual Cylinder plug engine needing new plugs after just a couple of years?

I am having a misfire under load and I have been told to remove heat shield from plug wires. Any pointers on how to find all 16 plugs? I see only 8 plug wires when looking from the top. Do I need to climb down into side compartment to find the bottom ones?

Yep, pull the lower plug wire, you'll see a metal shield on each wire.
