Much higher when cold with the transmission fluid. V drive will not matter. Not sure what your transmission is but check your owners manual first.

There’s a procedure in your manual on how to check the level hot and after gears are cycled. The manual also tells you how you let it cool down overnight, the check the level and make your own “cold fill” line.
