Bad hull scratches when loading/unloading

Man....I’m getting bad scratches in my hull from loading and unloading the boat. Any I too shallow when launching? Have to make these stop. The guide ons seem to be digging into the hull, I wrapped them with cloth and duct tape, them put the guide on back over it, with a wash mitt and they still seem to be popping up.

Anyone had these before? I’m thinking I’m not deep enough when launching, and maybe too deep when loading? I’ve been trying to just get the third bung touching the water then winch up. Any advice would be great.

They should float up so that they run and spin along the rub rail as you drive on.

I had this problem and I bought trailer guide covers. That helped me.
