My bet is on something in the lineup between the Max and Helix. Something in that design vocabulary.

And probably Swell 3.0 more available.

Not necessarily revolutionary, the new SE is just a monster. But, with the upgrades coming to the new moomba there will be no reason to buy a supra.

New Supra is off the charts. I would say for me...the financial commitment of a new Supra might drive me to a new Moomba, but the new Moomba will be a significant upgrade to my 2016 SE.

If all that makes sense.

But the new Supra will be incredible. Just a thing of beauty quite honestly. If I had FU money, it would easily be my choice.

Completely agree, the new SE is going to be way out of reach for most people I have to guess. I know it won’t be in my price range, hell even a new or slightly used SL is out of reach for me anytime in the near future.
But the new moomba... if it does half what they say it will it’s gonna be a nice boat.

larry_arizona

Thatís all good when prices go up, keeps the used market healthy.

Glad I got a SA when I could afford it, my guess is a significant step up in price at least for Supra.

I just can't fathom spending 100k on a boat. It is sad that the value brands are increasing in price so much, but the features and technology are really cool and there is obviously the demand for them.

Mid be nice

The 19 g23 is getting a new tower, new windshield, and a few other changes according to the people on planetnautique. They are speculating a power tower. Probably a nice price increase as well.

Excited to see this moomba. Let's roll it out!!!

My expectations are more along the lines of a budget performance machine. I would like to see a no frills boat without all the added tech, subfloor ballast, lots of room and storage, and a clean wakeboard wake for beginners to advanced. And closer to 50k vs 100k. Really I'm drawn toward the helix and max, but all the new expensive boats are cool to look at.

Yeah, like I said in another post, it is too bad it takes an old man to buy a boat for a young mans sport. By the time you have enough money to buy a sweet wake boat you are too old to Wakeboard. I wanted to buy another Supra, but by the time I got all he upgrades and added PTM clamps, my Craz was about $90k out the door. Never thought I would spend almost $100k on a boat I couldnít sleep on. I would almost guarantee that if you fully load the 19, it will be $100k after tax title and license.

At least they make the max and helix. If you want a nicer boat, itís gonna cost. I donít quite get the mentality of spite toward a manufacturer who makes increasingly nicer expensive stuff. People seem to be mad at Moomba for getting more expensive.....strikes me as odd. If theyíre selling, thatís where the company is heading. Itís a business!

I am not spiteful at all. I get it, it is a business and donít blame them at all. I love their product or I wouldnít have bought it. It is just hard to come to grips with the price of boats in general. All I am saying is you are in your prime for wakebaording in your twenties. Unless you have rich parents, you arenít buying a $100k boat. Sorry, I am a little bitter at the moment as I have a brand new boat and I am sidelined with my first major injury to my back. I just hope I can get back on the board before summer is over. Sucks to get old.

You can for sure get a damn good older boat and fat sacs to make a helluva wakeboard wake on a budget. The expensive stuff is the surfing stuff, which lends itself to an older less physical crowd. Like me 🤣

Hope your back heals fast! Getting old is a joy.

I don't understand why they keep sitting on these promo videos every year. If I was in the market for a new boat I wouldn't buy an 18 at this point until I can see the 19's. Do other people think this way, or just me? Does this affect 18 sales at all?

Broke Pilot

Unlike vehicles, these are toys at the end of the day. Best way to make someone want something is to make it A big secret and tell people they can’t have it yet. lol
Vehicles get released early to show they’re the best at this or that. So get it out early and sell the sh%# out of it.

In regards to the price of wake boats, I cannot believe how much they have gone up. We bought ours new 11 years ago and could probably get out of it today what we paid for it. That is wonderful until I realize that if I sell it there is no way I can buy another one at today’s prices. In those 11 years, the Moomba has more than doubled in price. I own a business to and can assure you our prices have no where near doubled in that time. Additionally, something that is now costing close to $100,000 should not be having vinyl issues as some people right here on the forum are having. I understand that Moomba has traditionally been considered a moderately priced wake boat but IMO there is nothing moderate about the prices of these things today.

I did sell my 1998 a month ago for what I paid in 2002 and people with other type of boats are doing the same thing.

I understand that, but they have already said new stuff is coming we just don't know what. At the prices these boats go for I would wait at this point to see whether the 19 is worth the extra coin or if the 18's are a better deal for. People want the latest and greatest. If you buy a brand new boat it may very well be outdated already.

The electronics are likely yesteryear type stuff, but still sweet and PERFECTLY functional.

No question the value of an 18 takes a hit, but not a very significant one. I personally would angle for a deal on an 18 vs a 19 if I was in the SL or SA market.

Some of the new bells and whistles might be upgradeable for the 18 also. For example there was a software update for the 17 to add the amplitude and predictive state in the Autowake setting. However I believe you needed at add a draft sensor to truly get the full use out of those features. That was a little harder to do than the simple software update. I probably didnít wait late enough in the season to get a great deal on a 17, so there wasnít a significant enough savings for me to take a showroom boat vs. customizing my own. Plus, as I understood it from my dealer the Moombaís donít stay in stock very long. In fact I was told it was tough to get a build date before the season if you ordered a boat after December.
