Dakota, you reinforced my thoughts on the added ballast. I had that scenario in mind in why I said extra weight is needed. Light crew is kids, not many people, whatever the case may be. They have basically put Enzos in a boat from the factory and people still are not happy, that's my point. I have been on 24' boats with enzos and nose weight, add in a few people, and they throw sick wakes and waves. I think you guys missed my point. Its all good. I would add weight to the boat as well, since our crews are smaller and smaller these days since the baby, but 4000 pounds is significant.

No I agree 100%. 4000# is a bunch for stock. I think we were just saying, to use it at it’s potential would take more weight because of the size of the boat

I agree. I asked this very question to a Supra engineer. He said people can add weight over stock if they run light crews, but they try to put out optimal ballast for the boat and the weight capacity that it is capable of holding if there was a butt in every seat. They have to account for such things.

So the makai max displacement is 5200+4000+2500=11700

That is impressive considering an SA is
5450+3500+2400=11350

And SE is
5500+3500+2800= 11800

I think really the point I am focused on is that the rear lockers aren’t able to add more weight elegantly with the “tray” arrangement.

Take a Supra SL, with 3500 factory subfloor. It still has a true locker to which you could easily add PnP bags. Makai cannot.

That’s all I was really paying attention to.

The only company that comes close to loading boats out the door is Centurion it seems.

Wouldn't they have to drop the occupancy rating if they added more stock ballast? I always assumed there was a balancing act between stock ballast and occupancy rating?

Furthermore, possibly in contrast to what you suggest—even if I have 6-7-8 adults in the boat, I FILL the ballast. The only thing that might slow me down is getting to a point where the motor can’t hang in there. But thus far, that hasn’t happened. I would not fill partial ballast when I have a big crew, unless I had to.

If I had a 575, I NEVER would have to I bet. That would be sweet! Like the wake 9 boat—they fill that hawg no matter how big the crew, don’t they?

Maybe that clarifies my thoughts some?

Sounds like you might do that?

For those Supra owners ... few things I was told today (and saw some pics)

SL will get a walkthrough pad and tray underneath

SE redesigned with subfloor ballast as everyone can imagine

Don’t know any specifics about SA or SR

All Supras will get 2 touch screens one center and one to lower right phone holder moves to the left ... looks a lot like the Malibu setup. Wasn’t sold on that design ... looked like it was big and just in your way. After having a 2017 Malibu LSV and now the 2018 SL the smaller screen works perfect and gives access to everything when needed (if you have the steering controls - otherwise it may not be as easy but who didn’t order that???) ... and to clarify the 9” screen is the same as nautique is using including software I think?!

No more remote on the left side center section to adjust music - new touch screen near the glove box to allow peeps to control sound, heater and hopefully nothing else [emoji12]

Walkthrough as said earlier on the SL no hull changes. New dark vinyl staying cool they say ... new color option ... wine red or similar ... wanted that this year but Skiers choice refused to do custom color ... grrrr ....

For those interested in plug and play ... I’m opening another thread for the SL ... can’t and won’t do lead as my boat is on a lift so will post pics there to show how I did it ...

So where are you adding your piggy back ballast bags, right now I have 2 400 lb bags under each of the rear seats?
It seemed like it was enough, until we put a 750 on the floor as well in the middle of the boat, the wave was massive, it was so long at 12 mph

Yep I’m happy with my 18. I don’t like walkthroughs. And have you guys used nautique screens? In my opinion, it just gets in the way of what you’re trying to do. Go ride!

Have you heard of any new functionalities? Anything the screens will unlock?

And by the location my lead bags go, I bet two bags at 500 each put in the v drive locker would be sweet. I’m gonna keep my storage and add lead if necesssary. The boat is just so dang good with only 400 lbs. sips gas too. My 18 SL has exceeded all my expectations.

And forgot to mention - 440 upgrade now is no longer just the ECM difference ... not sure if this means that they are putting the so-called 460 in which you can order in an MB ... but was told that the engine would now have different cam shafts and whatever else to produce the additional torque

And pricing will go up 6% so an SL will come in at 130k base

Unlikely except they provide new software and harness - the pumps are time driven so you would need to hook wiring from sensors into module underneath the dash and update software

That’s not what I said or meant. Skiers choice did make the upgrades to autowake 2.0 available for everybody but said that you need additional sensors and wiring harnesses. So the software update is only half of the cake - I would assume that both are eventually available but for the price of 3 sensors, harness and labor ... well the boat ain’t producing a better wake so it’s a convenience thing and you will be spending some cash to get there ... so I for sure wouldn’t do it ... too much work for one (opening floor panels to get to bags putting a tube/sensor in and plum that into bag to measure fill level ... yadda yadda yadda ... and if you have plug and play then they would be incorrect like on the Malibu’s 2017 and older because they only measure factory ballast

They are standalone sensors that measure the water level regardless what bag you use. So as long as you get a bag that has the correct fittings, you can add a bag and it will turn off when full. I will try and elaborate more later but this is an industry first and should fix a problem the entire industry has been facing of inaccurate ballast timers, gauges, etc. AND we are working with wakemakers so they can make custom bags with correct fittings that will hopefully be available later this year.

Also, on the debate about ballast and capacity, dont forget we have draft sensor to also measure that accurately. I dont understand the idea that passengers should not be considered toward displacement (???), but at anytime you should be able to look at dash and see what your displacement is and that will directly relate to how big the wake or wave will be. We also changed the Moomba amplitude bar so it is now in 3 sections. If you want a decent size wave, you need to be in the upper displacement zone. On the Makai, you need about 5,000lb displacement to get there. So full ballast and 5 adults, or 2 adults and larger bags, or 2 adults and some lead will all give you the same result. Anything more that 5,000lb starts to get really awesome.

Hope that helps.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting that you not count passengers toward displacement, rather we’re just saying it doesn’t matter how many passengers we have we’re still going to fill our bags as long as our boats will pull them.

I think the point is simple, it’s a hulls design that determines max ballast for a given boat.

It’s up to the manufacturer to determine how much of that is adjustable ballast, occupancy load and added content and features.

If the hull doesn’t change you can’t keep adding adjustable ballast without reducing occupancy load rating.

I believe you were at 11300# and if I read what goose said about a fully loaded out makai at 11700# with a 400 and a wake prop pulling it fine.

I think a 400 would handle your 11300#, the difference in the 400 and 450 is 27ft lbs of torque.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThat makes sense and we know that and expect it. Maybe thats another value to the amplitude bar. I've always thought of it as a way to set expectations on wave or wake size. But it can also set expectations on how much load you will have on your specific engine and prop. As you said, all boats eventually have a max displacement that the engine can push. With amplitude bar it makes that visible before you attempt to accelerate.

There is always a consequence to exceeding a boats max payload. Premature engine and drivetrain life.

No different that exceeding a trucks tow capacity, will it pull overloaded? Sure, but for how long.

Probably not apples to apples on this comparison.

I think before you start wrecking mechanicals, the boat simply will not get to speed. I don’t think you’re going to grenade a motor or tranny running overloaded. It simply won’t pull it.....?

I am sure you will disagree with me, as per forum dynamics, but I have not heard of premature driveline failure in a surf boat due to heavy loads.

Maybe someone has.

Max capacity ratings are not correlated with driveline wear limits as far as I know. They’re correlated with the hull’s ability to float the weight safely, no?

If the former were true, the 575 boats would have higher ratings than the 400 boats.

Well I guess you did spill the beans ... the tube/sensor will have a wireless connection ... which is where a lot of things are going if they aren’t truly required to be failsafe ...

Well on 2nd thought maybe not ... you’re running the sensor between bag and pump so if sensor indicates that bag is full then pump stops ... whatever you put in between the reversible pump as a switch will do ... same concept as you have on the touch screen and the manual switches ... in an home you would call it a 3way switch I guess ...

This is for goose:

Regarding full bag sensors. With the 2018 auto wake equipped boat the computer doesn’t really care how much ballast is in each bag, is this right? It will continue to pump in or pump out in the appropriate spots in order to satisfy its sensors I assume. In other words when a ballast bag that is on timers reaches “100%“ does auto wake stop trying to fill that bag?

Fast forward to 2019 and bags with sensors. I would think this offers an advantage from the standpoint that once the bag is ful—auto awake will stop trying to fill it; and if it’s sensors are not satisfied yet at that point, it will tell you to move people. Because no ballast is available to affect running attitude.

What does the 2018 boat do in this scenario? What if you had your ballast timer set super long? Would it just pump water overboard trying to fill a bag that is already full in order to satisfy a sensor?

Except that prop is the one thing you can’t control ... I’m the perfect example for that. Ordered the SL400with the 2277 prop because it worked well in my 2017 Malibu 23LSV ... except that the SL has a 1.5:1 tranny and not the 1.76 ... call me stupid because I was ...

So you would need to know pretty much every prop combination and test it to tell if the boat can do it or not ...

I learned the lesson quickly as nothing was happening when loaded up so got a different prop ... and it runs fine since. But with 5 people, 4 dogs and the additional 800 lbs of ballast the engine is running at 3800 to 4000 to push the weight ... and the wave is marginally better ... snot like your getting another 10 feet to play ... maybe 1 or 2 ...

As said before by others ... there’s only so much the boat can displace effectively regardless of engine ... except you consider a submarine a great surfboat [emoji12]

Not to pretend to be goose ...

The 2018 requires calibration pretty much every time we’re filling initially - even without the PNP. Have to admit that I maybe should have never adjusted the filling times as they were going when the water was coming out of each of the vent lines but I did. Since then bags are full ... system keeps pumping. If I turn off cuz it’s stupid to fill what’s full I need to calibrate. If I forget first thing after setting a profile is pumps pushing water from the lake thru some hoses back into the lake [emoji12] ...

What also bugs me is this ... if roll can’t be achieved by filling either side ... why isn’t the system first trying to achieve the desired result by draining one side and filling the other which would be faster and then attempting to fill to max again as surfing is a question of displacement as discussed earlier?

And last - for wake boarding (and yes some people still do that) - the front ballast is all what impacts pitch ... which sux because the wake plate could a better job and faster cuz steepness of wake pretty much goes in hand with pitch ... at least on the SL. Now having that said I don’t need the front ballast full for wake boarding because have no skills ... but during each set I start out at about 50% in front at it will start filling to 100% if the driver doesn’t adjust pitch or wake plate to keep pitch within the acceptable tolerance for autowake ...

On the 18 autowake will stop fill once it gets to 100% according to the timer set. If you set your timers long it will continue to pump water out the side until the time is reached. If one bag is full and the other drains to a certain point to where the set amplitude and roll can’t be reached it will ask you to move people.

I think of all the things that that are changing on the new supras, I hope they move to a 1.76 :1 or a 2:1 transmission . I think that is one upgrade that needs to happen, before walk throughs or fancy screens etc. All my boats that were on the short list had 2:1 , the Sl was the only one without. When we go wake boarding I do miss having it.

I think this has already been answered, but in 2018 AutoWake would only fill until the gauge said 100%. If your timers were way off, then it would be possible that the bag was NOT full, but the system would NOT continue to fill because the system thought it was full. If you changed your timers so that it would always overfill, then you would eventually also have a problem because the system is NOT setup to overfill for long periods of time with 6 pumps. It is likely if you did that consistently, that your engine divider panels would bow or fall in and worst case it could pop off your fittings. Both of these are bad....

In 2019, on Moomba with the ballast sensors, you can run the timers a little longer to be on the safe side (you should still try and get them as accurate as possible), but once the bag is truly full, it turns off the pumps AND resets gauge to 100% so that you know it really is full. AutoWake always tries to fill first before draining so this should result in max displacement. There is also visual indicators on the dash that will give you feedback if the bag is really full or not. An example of this might be if you run all day with full ballast. As most of you know, if you run all day, it is possible that you can lose some water through the pump or if some air is in the bag. If the sensor originally said the system was full, then your gauge would still show 100%. But if you look on the screen and see a green light, that means you can still add more weight to the bag. Once the system sees full again it will again turn off pump and reset gauge again. It is a little hard to explain but I think as more people use this system they will love the added value of the ballast sensors.

Also, the sensors are NOT wireless. We actually have 2 designs based on the different needs and different boat designs. One is a true ballast sensor and it is almost the same design as our draft sensor. It is a separate tube located in the transom that measures water from the bag as the bag fills up. Once the bag gets to a certain height, the sensor knows the bag is full and turns off the pump. And I know it will be asked but the sensor is taller than the factory bag. I don't want to give away all secrets, but it works really well. The other design is more of a flow sensor. It measures water going through the vent line and as water enters the vent, it also turns off the pump. This design is used in some applications and will be the sensor used for the 2018 and 2017 Moombas. These do require a harness and software, but again they can be used with any size bag as long as you are still using the vent lines. Again, it is important to get the timers close, but it also has visual indication when the system sees water in the vent line and when it doesn't.

Lastly, the reason it is important to get the timers close is because when the system resets, it also resets the drain timers. If you always want your bags full, then you could set the timers to any time and the system would always get full and then reset. However, the pumps will still drain for as long as the drain timers are set. You would NOT want the pumps to overdrain for long periods of time if there is no water in the bags. This will wear the impellors and cause damage. The beauty is if the pumps do NOT completely drain, then with the sensors it still shuts off when full.

That's what Drew Tinker said on FB, 1.76 only on the 450 on the Makai.

To clarify, for 2019 Moomba has 3 engine options.

On all boats, you can get the 400 Raptor. It always has the 1.5 gear ratio.

On most boats, you can get the 450 Raptor. It always has the 1.76 gear ratio.

On the Makai only, you can get the 575 Raptor. It always has the 1.5 gear ratio.

Hope that clears it up. For most people, the 400 is all you will need and you can get the best prop for your application. If you are running heavy loads ALL the time, or if you are at altitude, then the 450 with 1.76 gears is a great option. If you want the best overall power AND speed, then the 575 is available on Makai.

No offense specifically to Stazi— but I personally think that it’s horse crap when this particular shaming comes out on the forum. Who in their right mind would not be more in favor of burning 6 gallons per hour versus 12? Especially if you have a 60 gallon tank and you need to purchase fuel on the lake—it actually makes a difference. But whatever. Just because someone buys an expensive boat really has nothing to do with whether not they value a few bucks here and there.

But you guys can have your way with me—I’m sure this is an unpopular stance. Because I have an expensive boat I should just probably dump fuel into the lake just for fun. 🤣

I agree with Dakota and Padge. It isn't even about the money. Stazi, you are completely missing a huge part of this equation. Time on the water making memories!!!!! If you are burning double the fuel and have to refill more often, then that's less time to be out enjoying it. Not every lake has a marina, or they might only have 1 and it is way on the other side. Stazi, contrary to your own popular belief, you don't know everything, mate.

Oddly enough, the more money I have been able to make in my life, the more I have come to value the few bucks here and there. I’m not exactly sure why? But anyway, there is also a practical reason as Knox pointed out.

I didn't take offense to it and I see your point to some degree. It always makes me laugh when guys care about top end, I only surf so I don't care about that. So the reason I asked is because everyone in my crew surfs regular. I have no desire to set up on the Starboard side or ever switch, etc. Also if I could run at lower RPM's it would be easier on engine and tranny, etc. I know it's old school, but that's why I bring it up, just wondering if anyone surfs slammed anymore. Fuel burn matters to me. I'm on track for an easy 4k in gas this year. let's call depreciation at 8k/year on a 100k boat. That's significant.

Oh and 4k in cash spent equates to how much in income before taxes???? Good thing I have friends who help pay the fuel bill.

I don’t think it’s shaming, but it’s a known part of wake boating. The mass of these boats and the load on these engines are high.

That said, the raptors sip gas compared to older GM LS based options. I have not talked to anyone with a new DI LT based GM engine, but I have to imagine they will do best on gas.

The new SE is an SA nose on a lengthened SL hull. Should be a monster! I’m keeping my options open with Rinkers on one! Lol
I heard you can get toggle switches as a back up, but they’re gonna charge a pretty good amount for them.

The screens are cool for sure, but not a game changer, I do like the gages and toggles too.

The previous gen helm styling is more aggressive in my opinion.

The passenger side screen is a nice upgrade.
To each their own.

My wife saw the SE before I did, she says she’s sold! Guess there’s an SA for sale... hope they bring one to the jam so I can play in person before I sell anything. I’d like to try that chill-tec to see if it’ll open up color options too.

Having heard the new stereo and having some time to play with it, I can say with certainty its a significant upgrade in the Supra Line. The new dual 12s in the SE sound killer but again, I think the best sounding change they made was dumping those harsh tweeters and firing 2 6.5s into the glass. Really is impressive.

A new grill for sure, all of the boat is RGB coordinated now including all of the in-boats and tower speakers which are now lit on a color wheel. Rather then being lit from the tweeter, the speaker is illuminated from behind so its a rad effect. Some neat stuff. The go pro app built within the system will be a really great addition as well for all of us who live with those things on mounts etc... That along with the push bottom start etc are on my list of favorites for 19-

I agree 100%.

They have already been producing cool leather in BMW convertibles. Why is it such a stretch to think they couldn't figure it out in boats?

Skier's Choice puts dark vinyl on boats that is tested to be 10 degrees COOLER than normal vinyl.

People's reaction: It's gonna be hot.

*facepalm*

because it would make a LOT of sense to heavily advertise a new product that doesn't live up to its claims... That would be fantastic marketing. /sarcasm

Look at this cool new product that we put over the windows in our cars and boats. it's called "tint" and it actually makes things cooler.

No it doesn't. It's dark in color. it will make things hotter. Dark is always hotter.

No, they aren't saying that the chill tech is 10 degrees cooler than black vinyl, they are saying that the chill tech is 10 degrees cooler than LIGHTER COLORED NORMAL vinyl.

So you can get that badass looking dark interior and actually have it cooler than your old school light gray vinyl. Where is the downside?!?!?! (okay, aside from cost. because I already looked into the chill tech to reupholster my boat and I've been told it's a lot more expensive.)

I know what they're saying. First, how are you going to verify that it's 10° cooler? Second, I can guarantee that that dark gray "Cool Tech" vinyl is still going to be hot, and way hotter than light gray "Cool Tech" vinyl.

The basic point being, I don't care what you call it, dark gray (or any dark color) vinyl is going to be damned hot in the sun. A little cooler than the exact same shade old school vinyl? Sure. A little cooler than scorching is still scorching.

Everyone is missing the detail that this vinyl will stay cooler than traditional white vinyl. There will be no extra heat, unless they are flat out lying through their teeth.

And again, assuming that is true, there is no drawback compared to the current gold standard to ordering a dark interior.

All of these companies are going to this new vinyl for a reason. All of the products are doing roughly the same thing and they work. Its not hype, I have two boats with nearly identical base colors (Black) sitting in AZ 115 degree heat. The cool touch stuff is tolerable the other is 500 degrees Kelvin... No gimmick, NO BS. One is tolerable the other you can cook an egg on. This isnt brain surgery, the tech is real.

What doesent get talked about is how rapidly it cools down rather then hold heat when you keep pressure on it. Black etc is still hot on the touch but where you would normally have to remove your hand, it instantly drops temp, and by a lot...

Matt Brown,

What are the engine/tranny options for the 2019 Supra line?

Jon
07-31-2018, 09:31 PM
400 standard on SR, SA, SL

New 450 standard on SE and optional on all others.

575 optional on SA, SL, SE.

1.5 ratio on all.

No way, they need to give the 450 a new tranny. If I had to look at a 19 I would only consider it if they had ditched the 1.5

Could you swap out the tranny for a 1.76 ? If I could do it for a few grand I would.

As a former driveline engineer, I can tell you that that is bullshit. The driveline angles do not change when you change gear ratios. The only thing that changes is the number of teeth on the drive and pinion gears.

But....

I think it’s more about the size of prop that you would then use with said gear ratio.

I think we all know and realize that the angle would not be correlated with any internal gear ratio.

But if you reduce the ratio, you’re gonna want to take advantage of its benefits by ramping up the prop diameter, and that has challenges when it comes to a thrust vector and a forward moving boat coupled with adequate hull clearance.

Again, all heresay. But I like the belligerent BS call! Makes others feel good. 🤣

Yes. With Mastercraft now running a 20” prop on the X-star, then that requires a steeper Driveline angle to for more hull clearance, unless they change the hull design instead.

The other thing is that with lower ratios and bigger props with more pitch (as a consequence) the torque on the Propshafts has seen a major jump, with boats moving towards a 1-1/4” shaft instead of the regular 1-1/8” shaft. This increase in diameter although not trivial, is also questionable whether it is sufficient as there are numerous reports of people shearing the shaft right off with these higher ratio setups.

Guess there's no convincing you...

Pretty sure they have “thermometers.”

No they don't! LMAO

I don't know how it works, but I sat in an all black Mastercraft with their version of this 2 days ago on a fully sunny 89 degree day and it was cooler than the lava-infused dove grey in my boat!
:-)

Even if it’s cooler than white vinyl, I am not feeling the look of dark interiors in a boat.

Dark accents look better on lighter interiors.

FTR, the max coverage Bimini pretty much shades the entire seating area from behind windshield, so there is always a shaded option

No offense to your boat, but I've said it before, I don't like Poop colored interiors, so dark blacks and grays are legit! And blue/black metalflake exterior with blue/black/slate interior is gonna look amazeballs. My Audi is black on black and I love it. Nothing wrong with a murdered out interior if it can not burn ya!

for those hoping for the 1.76:1 or 2:1 tranny … be careful what you wish for … last year with the Malibu 23LSV I had the 400 raptor/1.76:1 combination and the 2279 prop … well I ordered the same prop for my SL not knowing that it would have a different ratio. Boat didn't plane as soon as half of the ballast was filled …

So obviously a mistake and went to the 2775 (wake prop) which works great. But what is equally important is the RPM … now I'm running at 3400 - 3500 when surfing at 11.2. With the Malibu I ran at 3700 - 3800 and with more than 4 people more in the ball park of 4000 … anything above 3500 will make the raptor considerably louder …

One more thing I heard this year from multiple people on the lake … they can't believe how quiet the boat is - you can't hear it … nobody told me that last year and both boats were equipped with the fresh air exhaust …

So different tranny = higher RPM = more noise and if you really want to know how much … here you can get a taste … themalibucrew forum discussing 2019 changes there - and read the comments below that video …

This is also reason I went 550 on the SE. Hopefully doesn't have to work as hard to achieve said goal and gets decent fuel usage.

The Makai with the new reduction is dynamite. Full ballast and 5 people and it laughed at the weight that was in it. By laugh I mean purred to surf speed, and then sat there sipping fuel at a cozy 3100RPM. Boat is unreal, plain and simple. I know Garcia did a writeup about how it prob isnt as good as an SL, I dont find that to be the case. I think being bigger it wants much more weight. Based on what I saw and felt at my feet, thing is as clean and has every bit of potential as the SL, without swell maybe it does not switch as clean, hard to say. But setup on one side? Would be shocked if it does not surpass the SL simply because its bigger.... I was throughly impressed.

I will tell you this, the boat is sooooo quiet... Prob the quietest boat I have been in during the last few years. 40MPH top, 3000-3100 surf RPM. Yes please.

I think their is still performance left on the table. Factory wheel is a 15.5x15.25, based on the juice it had down low its got room for something a smidge taller. When its all said and done in factory form, I bet this is a sub 3k RPM surf system boat. Let that sink in......

I currently own an older xstar and got a new trailer a few years ago so it wouldn't be as tall on the trailer and the wheel rubs the inside of the fender and have had a ton of issues with the hub. I have read online no matter the brand and everyone pretty much agrees stock is the best.

Yes mastercraft and malibu are making trailers in house, but that doesent mean that every dealer orders trailers through them. To my knowledge, a ton of dealers will order those two makes with no trailer and then have baotmate make the trailers for them, an thats especially true in cases where the dealer also caries another towboat whos factory trailer is made by boat mate. Reason being? cost.

Hey guys. The new tray that fits the Craz Pro, should also fit the Craz and Mojo and should fit for the last several years. To be completely honest, this tray was one of the last additions for the year and we are still a little hand to mouth making sure we have enough for production. That is why we have been fairly "vague" about availability. BUT, if you want one, you should contact your dealer asap and get them to order it. We are a manufacturing facility first and parts department second. I have informed the purchasing and customer service department about the possible demand for this since it fits so many boats already in the field, but we have NO idea how to forecast for that so they have started building "some" extra, but until we get actual orders, we don't know how many we need. So, if you get orders in, we can get a better idea of how many we need to get and stock. Hope that makes sense. Your dealers should now be able to get a firm price on their end and we can start delivering a few at a time, but all that depends on how many actual orders we get.

Sorry Larry, we didn't do any tray options for the 2018 SA. The Supra and Moomba "H-bar" in the center sundeck are quite a bit different in size and shape so I don't think the Moomba solution will work on the Supra. And for 2019, we changed the entire rear of the SA to include the new walkacross so you can't use a tray on a 2019. And like I said before, we typically spend most our time working on new product as the product changes and that is why we didn't tool up a solution for the 2018 SA.

Hope that makes sense.

Here is a pic of the tray that David Langston has in his boat. He can probably speak into actual usage of the tray more than anyone at this point...

He sent me this picture after he got his tray and he said in the tray he has a box anchor, shore spike, 4-12 foot docking lines, 1-100 ft anchor line, 1-50 ft anchor line, one tube rope, one wakeboard rope and handle, one surf rope and handle and about 6 bungee docking lines.

The tray is about 35 inches long and 28 inches wide. It is about 5.5 inches deep in the middle. Hope that helps. I haven't checked to see if it will fit in a Helix, but I will check later today...
