1.Battery is good, everything else runs
2. Amp don't even draw down when cranking
3. Was able to get started it started with some luck by jiggling wires coming off distributor. Can't pinpoint which one did it.
Open to all suggestions, it 98 and humid and I need to get everyone on the water!

Sent from my SM-G950U using TapatalkNo....because it has started a few times...
I think it may be solenoid

Wait you said won't turn over. How could it start if it went turn over. . Solenoid engages the starter to start the engine turning over.

So to make sure I understand. Your motor will turn over but it only starts from time to time.? Are you getting good bright spark to the plugs?

Sorry to confuse...if it turns over it starts....but doesn't turn over or crank other than random luck.

Need to check the solenoid by jumping from the hot wire. are you getting power to solenoid coil when key turns? Sounds like switch or starter solenoid

In a car the first check would be for dirty battery cables, check battery voltage, then check voltage at solenoid. Will it crank over if you tap the solenoid with a screwdriver?

Long story short...pulled boat out of water...dealer had replaced starter over winter. Turned out to be a faulty starter. New starter, turned over several times on Saturday.
Thanks for all the input.
