Hi All,

I have an 04 Mobius, when I am done surfing or wake boarding at the end of the day I am unable to completely drain my bow bag as well as my ski locker bag. This is leaving quite a bit of extra weight in the boat for hauling down the road. Any tips to get all of this water out of the bags?

Thanks

Put check valves on the vent lines so that they suck shut while draining. This will help keep the pump primed and squeeze all the water out

the Gravity III is notorious for this, just not the greatest of systems. Like Stazi said, check valves will help. From there you can upgrade the entire system to reversible pumps. It's pricey but a great system.

Wakemakers.com should have them.

You probably have the 3/4” hose so this is the best price I have found.

Check valves won't help with the g3 ballast that's an aerator system. You can add a second drain line to the other leg of the bow bag, that will help but you'll never get the bag completely flat without upgrading to reversible pumps and check valves.

Turn off the pump when the water stops flowing, raise the wake plate, drive forward with the bow elevated and start the pump again will get most of the water out.

Not sure if the system is the same as my 2011 and it took me a while to realize this. After bags were down to zero, you can flip the switch off and then back to drain again and it will run for another 30seconds. Do this a few times while raising the bag and your done.

check valves wont help. I had 2 individual drain pumps on the legs of the bow ibs bags with separate thru hulls. also make sure all bags have vents as the air helps gravity drain the water to the low spots

my OBV o7 same boat and it worked really well.

The only advantage those style pumps have is you can leave them on without hurting the pump. Just leave them on until you home. :)
