I replaced my old GIII system with the wakemakers reversible pumps. The only problem I have is I am still getting some passive filling and I think water is going in through the Scupper and has enough force to push water past the impeller.
Has anyone ever cut the Scupper? portion off of that intake? IF so any pictures of what you did? Can it be done with out removing it?

Yea. Simply tape of the gelcoat with painters tape and use a dremel with a cutoff wheel and it cuts like a knife through butter. Wear safety glasses!

i did this at the end of last year and it fixed the problem. No filling at all now. Very easy to do. This is what mine looked like after cutting it off.

Just make sure you aren't cutting the one for the motor coolant inlet!

Ha Ha. So instead of measure twice, cut once. Look twice, grind once. No drinking before the grind.
